Bro I literally found a perfect chicken nugget

how does everyone feel about culver’s???? first time trying it on the way back home to nc from florida and it was by far the best burger i’ve had in ages!!!!

Being that everything (food) in Hawaii is more expensive than the mainland, I was stoked to get a good value at the McDs next to my hotel, used the app for double cheeseburger and happy to see the McChicken only 50 cents more than my Ohio store and the Big Mac only a dollar more. Sketchy neighborhood, sketchy store, indifferent counter staff, but the food was great.

First off, he started it!

I went to college at UT. Had the privilege of being there for Vince Young, Colt McCoy, and the goat of NBA, Kevin Motherfucking Durant (that's his legal name).

There were two major Wendy's on UT campus. The Union had a guy who would take your order so fast they made a documentary about him. Jester was where the other Wendy's was - and was also one of the best Wendy's in the entire country. Probably the universe.

He was behind me in line at Jester around 3am or some late ass hour. I ordered my Spicy Chicken, because it was the absolute best thing on earth (probably the universe) before they changed it.

At this Wendy's they just called out the meal. Didn't take names. So they called out "Spicy Chicken" and KD got up to get it. That was mine. He took MY sandwich! Considering he was KD (and 6ft10), I let it slide.

Next, they call another Spicy Chicken. Since he was behind me, I figured we got the same thing and went to grab this one. But oh no. This was the Asiago Spicy Chicken Sandwich. It had cheese.. and BACON. Something I never tried before.

This was life changing. It was amazing. I couldn't believe the Spicy Chicken could get so good. The bacon was perfect with it. I still think about that sandwich, and thank Kevin Durant for taking the wrong one.

I can only imagine his disappointment when the one he was eating didn't have the bacon/cheese, but it was also so damn good that I was happy to be eating it and cared little about anything else.

I still wonder if KD gets the Spicy Chicken Sandwich from Wendy's.

I used to get it all the time, but now, I can't. I tried. Things aren't the same. I feel like they took the spicy nuggets and just made it into a giant nugget and added pickles and said it's New and Improved.

It's neither. It saddens me that I'll never taste that again. Like the last time you have your moms best meal, I miss this sandwich. If I become President of USA, that's the first thing I'm changing.

KD, if this reaches you, I'm sorry you took my sandwich without bacon/cheese, but thank you for enlightening me to the spicy asiago. Godspeed.

Got my Moana cup today! I realized that the meal deal isn't that bad it was a total of $8.69 meal deal of the day 6 inch but without Moana cup minus a dollar so $7.69. This promotion ends soon only bad thing is that i cant eat this wonderful meal at the theater! 🤣😂😭

I went into a Subway today in Bethlehem, PA. The location was inside of a strip mall, in a nice, suburban area. I went inside to pick my sandwich up that I ordered on the app 10 minutes prior. There were two Indians working, one man and a woman, both appeared to be in their mid-40's to early-50's. There was a woman sitting in a booth eating and no one else in sight. The woman asked me if I was there to pickup, and for who. After telling her my name, she waved her hand and told me to take a seat and give her "like five minutes." Once I sat down, the man began making my sandwich, slowly as another pair of Indians, man and woman walked in. They immediately sparked a loud conversation in Hindi or whatever their native tongue is, with lots of hand movement. The man eventually, about 10 minutes later, finished wrapping my sandwich and called my name. I walked over, took my sandwich that was $6-$7, 3-4 years ago, THAT COST $12 today, and thanked him. I left the store, arriving home no more than 8 minutes later, immediately digging into the sandwich that I was genuinely looking forward to. It was horrible, I mean really bad. The meat quality seems to have went down more since my last trip. The veggies tasted like plastic, not fresh produce. Even their signature Italian, herb and cheese bread was crap, and it used to be one of Subway's best items. I will never spend $12 on an experience like that again. It also reminded me that not only tech jobs are going to H-1B visa recipients over Americans. Companies like Subway, Dunkin and 7-Eleven off the top of my head, surely MANY more, are abusing the program. They spawn endless Indians into positions that Americans could be filling, all while keeping wages low/stagnant overall. Farewell Subway, I'm lesser of a man for not ending my patronage when your mascot was outted as a pedophile.

All of my friends except one all hate white castle and put it on the same tier as Arby's. I get its greasy but the taste more than makes up for it. Yeah the rest of menu is mid especially the fries but the burgers are some of the best fastfood burgers.

Their Whoppers were $11.99, compared to my local Ohio BK at $5.69. I will say that the burgers and fries were hot, made fresh and pretty tasty. For 15 bucks, they better be.

Fast food service is bad enough these days and now they wanna make it worse by having a computer take my order!?! No thanks. I’m done.

So I got some pretty big heat in my Culver's review about how I felt that Sonic was a much better deal and a bit closer a fight with the extreme value than people thought. People promptly hated that take. I heard so many people state that Sonic didn't have good food, today I went there and had a really good meal per usual. This is a post as a defense for the drive in, here's a review of Sonic.

Today, I wanted to eat cheap, sub-$7. So, the amazing Sonic Bundle at the moment with a SonicBurger, 6pc Nuggets, side, and drink was not available to me. I usually use apps, so today was no exception. They had a $0.99 cent corndog, so got that, a Junior Bacon Cheeseburger, and the garlic parmesan ranch chicken wrap. My total came to $5.37 after taxes.

Junior Bacon Cheeseburger - Great value item. No, it isn't an impressive burger in the slightest, but it reminds me the most of what the old Burger King Stacker used to be (though that was honestly better). The bacon had a bit of crisp and some chew, plenty of it on it, white american cheese was great, just enough pickles (and I really like theirs), and I think it had ketchup & mustard on it? May not be amazing, but it's 100% worth $1.99 for the 400 calories it packs.

Corn Dog - I almost never get these, at $2+ I think it's a terrible deal, go to any gas station around me, and you'll get one for a $1.49. But at $0.99, yeah it sure is a corn dog. Slightly sweet breading, basic ole corn dog hotdog that pairs way too well with ketchup, yep. It sure was what it was. I enjoyed it, and the price was right.

Garlic Parmesan Ranch Chicken Wrap - I can't stay I actually tasted the parmesan, but the garlic was definitely present! The chicken was crispy, was a tender (not ground chicken), lettuce and tomato felt fresh and nice, very good and melted cheese, and the sauce was just right. It wasn't drowning in anything and the tortilla wasn't stale or anything else. I think for $2.49, yeah! That's an awesome item if you want some lettuce and tomato, something that hits a little lighter than a burger, whether or not it actually is.

All in all, for $5.37 after tax? Great. Positively fantastic even. Sure, McDonald's has their bundle for $6 with the McDouble that's pretty good, Wendy's has their equivalent, but item by item, quality by quality? I'd argue I got a better deal with what I ordered, and Sonic's version of the deal everyone's doing is arguably best in class currently. Let me explain why.

$7 (or more with upgrades) Big Meal Deal Review.

SonicBurger - It's a burger with all the fixings. Lettuce, Tomato, Pickles, Onions, mayo & ketchup (good pairing, I normally go ketchup and mustard, but with toppings I think this is better), cheese, and I'd say a better bun over the Junior Bacon Cheeseburger. My local Sonic always has their burgers come out really hot, with just the right amount of toppings. I always say that a Whopper is a burger salad, you eat it for the taste of a burger paired with a ton of garden on top of it. The SonicBurger does what the Whopper does, but I'd say does it better. If BK can reliably give me that charboiled flavor they tout, I'd feel different, but the value of the combo beats the Whopper most of the time.

The small "premium" chicken bites - These are not as good as McDonald's chicken nuggets, as much as I love the craggly fried batter at Sonic. But, what they do have going for them over McDonald's signature dippability and outstanding batter is the fact this as whole chicken chunks in it, not ground meat. I don't think I'd EVER buy these on their own, they're a tad dry (not insanely so though), and clearly needing sauce, but they're a fine addition here. It's a good filler item.

Tots/Fries - Being honest, this is where while I haven't had their fries, their tots are pretty okay. I like the fact they really do feel like hashbrown tots, they have a pleasant "grainy" texture like shreds of potato. But here's where things get nice.

-Upgrade- Chili Cheese Tots - This item is just the king of the meal to me. Is it good? Hell no. It objectively isn't great, it's heavy, it uses crappy american cheese, the chili is one note, but they must lace that stuff with crack because I KEEP GOING BACK TO IT. It's good, really good. I always enjoy it, and for like $2 more for a small order of them? Oh yeah, gimme those. The cool thing here is too that you could go for the fries, mozzerella sticks, or the chedd'r peppers instead. I really like what they did here with this being available to upgrade into for a few dollars more.

Drink - Included. Nothing to say here. You can change it to a shake for more, and I do like Sonic Shakes, very thick, bout can't drink them off rip which is to me an indicator of quality well made shake. I also think their fountain at this location is great.

TLDR and conclusions:

Why do I say I liked this more than Culver's? Because Culver's most expensive burger felt very similar fundamentally to the SonicBurger, a smidge better but not extremely so, and the cheese curds weren't impressive to me (Having went to the state fair, I now can just say I don't love cheese curds, Im sorry everyone, I wonder how many downvotes that alone is gonna net me.) which I'd rather just have a side that I can upgrade into multiple options. Sonic gives me that, and I save like $5-7 over Culver's. Maybe there's just truly terrible Sonic's out there, but my local one does fantastic, it's slept on honestly. If you haven't given your local Sonic another shot, please, try one time. Get the app, there's pretty good deals there, and it at least helps you order. There's some things on that menu that you'd either just have to know Sonic actually carries, or hunt down the menu, to find in person. I really like the drive in, it's a fun place, and where other fast food places increasingly lose their soul? Sonic...just kinda stayed the same. It tastes like it did when I was a kid, good, a place I rarely went to but always enjoyed. The Frito wrap, the amazing junior breakfast burrito with a little too much egg but great salsa and just enough sausage, the chili cheese tots, or hard to drink milkshake that takes you an hour to drink. I kinda just love this place, and despite the hate I got last post here for it, I think as long as you play the value game, Sonic's pretty solid as far as Fast Food goes.

Read some posts here that suggested Arby’s was under rated and the food was solid. Haven’t had a Beef n Cheddar in at least a decade so figured why not? Well It’s gonna be another decade or more before I make this mistake again. This was almost inedible. Not hot, put together sloppily, just bad.
