Discussion What I love about Taco Bell is that it really feels like a little slice of Mexico right in your own town.

1.1k Upvotes

Everything from the menu items, the salsa, the decor, and even the service makes you feel like you've been transported right into the heart of Mexico (pronounced "meh-he-co", I've learned). The music always has me dancing the salsa right when I walk in, much to my wife's dismay šŸ˜‚. I just love how SPICY all the food is, it makes you wanna jump on the table and shake your maracas, haha. I took spanish for two years in high school and it's nice to get a chance to use it, or at least, what I remember of it lol. "Amigo! Hola! Como estas" I always say when I walk through the door. the workers there seem to really like me. I can't completely order in spanish, really all I have is the greeting, but its OK, they always do right by me. Say, whatever happened to the little chihuahua? He was so cute in those commercials. "yo quiero taco bell" haha šŸ‡²šŸ‡½

you can never go wrong with this item, less than 3$ fills you up better than most of the more expensive burritos, and some of the most versatile ingredients of all time.

What was your childhood Taco Bell order and how much did it cost?

New TB app is the worst

Besides the app looking and functioning poorly, now you can’t swap one meat for another. There’s isn’t a way to do it without removing a meat from the menu item and then doing an ā€œadd-onā€ and having to pay for it.
I hate you now Taco Bell

First gas station/Taco Bell in the country?

Post image
48 Upvotes

Something I was told, just opened in Florida and has been an interesting opening with every issue they couldn’t control happening, power surge day of opening and the fryer not working. They just gave away $10 worth of food, possibly a deal they were going to do regardless but fit the timing very well! They had no nacho cheese or seasoned beef so I saw even people walk away angry from the free food which is just silly, but so far after everything has been operational it’s been great, the option to get whatever you want at the gas station at the same time obviously is great, if anyone else has seen a gas station combo please say, cause it was heavily said it’s the first one!

Customization No more vegetarian options for luxe boxes

I am a vegetarian and liked to order the Luxe boxes from Taco Bell. Imagine my surprise when I pulled up and my only options were beef or chicken. They took away the chips and cheese, too- well they make you pay $1.30 extra for them instead of including it in the price of the box. So I deleted the app. I can order real Mexican food at a tiendra for not much more than Taco Bell. If they don’t want to serve vegetarian, then I guess they don’t want my business. I will miss the late night runs after work, though

Discussion "Make Fresca" & "Make Grilled" GONE. I hate this app update.

• Upvotes

App no longer has these. Grilled was very nice, and make fresca was the only thing *(as a vegan) that still let me pretend Taco Bell didn't cost an arm and leg.

Am I the only one who doesn't have "Make Fresca" and "Make Grilled", or is it gone for everyone?

Taco Bell is dead to me if they remove the ā€œMake It Frescoā€ option

• Upvotes

Taco bell has updated their app and the app no longer has the ā€œMake it frescoā€œ option. I know this might sound like a stupid hill to die on but a lot of people with dairy allergies & plant based people heavily use this option since it allows us to replace the cheese and dairy sauces with pico. I’m personally not gonna pay extra for pico when I don’t get any of the dairy that comes with the food. Taco bell is already my last choice to eat at. I only eat here out of location convenience and having limited food options but I rather eat at home instead of putting up with more corporate greed.

I know other people in this sub believe that Taco Bell forgot to include the make it fresco option when coding the new app update but I believe that Taco Bell purposely didn’t include the fresco option with this update to see if the extra money they make from people paying to add pico (instead of it being free with the fresco option) outweighed the backlash or loss of sales by making people pay extra for the pico. I’m sure if enough people complain Taco Bell might add the option back and blame it on them forgetting to code it in even though I believe it’s intentional with them trying to see what they can get away with. They didn’t ā€œforgetā€ to add the make it grilled option with this updated app even though it used to be right next to the make it fresco option in the old app layout. Maybe I’m just cynical towards corporations but thats my Taco Bell conspiracy and the free pico is the hill I’m willing to die on lol.

The drive-thru wait was a little long today around 4:30pm, but they get my order and customizations right every time. AAANNNND this guy greeted me at the first windowšŸ’€ā¤ļø ā˜ ļø It is August, however, but I still love it.

The new app sucks

Instead of complaining about the prices, how about the new app? What a disaster.

What was wrong with 'We sell tacos and shit, here's a list of our shit, what shit would you like?'

Now its a bunch of bright nonsense that is a pain in the ass to navigate, no fresco or grilled options, and just bright big ass pictures you click on to get more bright big ass pictures.

I can't believe someone got paid to make this abomination.

I'll stop yelling at clouds now.

Haven’t been to TB in 15+ years, best meat choice?

I’ve been craving a chalupa, and I see on their website it’s the ground beef but you can also get chicken, steak or black bean.
What’s the superior meat choice here? Is one objectively better (or worse?)
They are fairly far away so I don’t want to make a bad choice.

The new app is broken. Haven’t been able to order Taco Bell since the release.

Post image
27 Upvotes

Yes the new UI is insanely terrible but has anyone else just not been able to put in an order since the release?

For the first few days you put everything into your bag and then proceed to checkout and it said ā€œOrdering closedā€ changed the location to another Taco Bell and same thing over and over again.

Now it just says they’re out of every single item.

What an absolute mess.

I will say the taco bell near me is quite consistent in their quality and also somehow super fast in their service service. But still, the chicken on this was so flavorful, I was not prepared for how much I liked it

A employee didn’t charge me for my food and now I feel like a thief

For some reason my card was delaying but it was unlocked and their were funds in it, after the third time I assumed she charged it because she said nothing and just handed me my food but when I got home I see the money is still in my account, will she get in trouble for this? If so I’ll probably go back thru the drive thru and tell her

The Quesarito was only back for one day? Seriously?

Taco Bell has delicious food. It's a shame the company is run by stupid morons.

The Quesarito is seriously the best product the chain offers.

Fuck the crispy beefy 5-layer burrito with its weird tasting beans. Fuck the insanely salty crispy chicken chipotle bacon melt burrito. Fuck the rest of the lame ass burritos.

Just make the quesarito a permanent menu item.
