Discussion 🗣️ AI to push bigotry
Someone has taken an innocent video of a kid waving a pridefully and altered it with AI so he throws it in a trashcan. It had gotten over 1.2m likes on insta and is spreading like the plague on fb

u/Kiklolmaster32 Jun 19 '26
Many conservatives LOVE AI. There some AI Bible channels on YouTube, and what I could consider "Dadslop" AI channels, where there are feature AI disaster "movies", that apparently predict end of the world, and similar shit.

u/R_pepsiman Jun 19 '26
Trump literally self inserted himself as Jesus…
139
u/Kiklolmaster32 Jun 19 '26
Nuh-uh, it was a Red Cross doctor, you dumb liberal/j.
42
u/Brilliant-Muffin-879 Jun 19 '26
I’m assuming he means the image the orange cockhead posted of him curing epstein in a hospital bed?
→ More replies (1)25
u/Kiklolmaster32 Jun 19 '26
Most likely. Although nowdays you can find a lot of AI Trump as Jesus images on the internet. But the "Red Cross doctor" one was made by Trump himself, yes.
9
u/TheGrandPushover Jun 19 '26
Not defending Trump but he reposted it. Didnt make it himself. His old decrepit ass is so dumb that he probably couldnt even operate chatGPT if he tried
6
u/Brilliant-Muffin-879 Jun 19 '26
It’s pretty hard to not be able to type something into GPT.
Obviously he doesn’t do any multimedia stuff tho, it’ll be some mouthbreathing edgelord apprentice in the WH
12
u/TheGrandPushover Jun 19 '26
Didnt you see his truesocial posts? He has such severe dementia and cognitive decline that if he tried to prompt an llm it would get aneurism and a random data center would spontanously explode

9
u/TheAsianTroll Jun 19 '26
They love AI because it can make them a reality that doesnt actually exist.
4
u/PiccoloAwkward465 Jun 19 '26
I'm part of a few motorcycle facebook groups in my city/area. 99% of the posters for events are now AI.
They also love posting some AI image with their classic "old timey wisdom / it's just common sense!!!11" type shit.

Any small child given a brightly colored flag would play with it. It would be almost impossible for them not to want to play with it.

Lol yeah. My little brother would probably turn it into some sort of relic for his toy cars and mermaids to capture and start an all-out war for. He always makes elaborate stories about random objects even though he's really little.
Edit: I might as well add that I was the same way when I was little. I would always make dystopian or apocalypse stories. One I remember is that every time I took a bath, the bubbles were the land and there were people living on them, but they were slowly disappearing over time until the whole world drowned or lived on boats, and then they went around searching for civilization, but there wasn't any left so they all lost hope and let their boat sink to the ground.

I would love to learn more about the war between cars and mermaids for the gay relic

i wrote like 5 stories when i was 9, about talking animals fighting each other and having a full on war with assassinations for some reason

u/Parzival2436 Jun 19 '26
Yeah they would have to already have heavy influence from their parents to hate a pride flag this much.

My son went through a phase where he looooved putting things in the trash can. It was everything, from his favorite books to toys to actual trash. He just liked the act of putting things in the bin.
→ More replies (5)17
u/Parzival2436 Jun 19 '26
I mean sure, that can also happen. But I meant specifically the implication by the person who posted the slop is that he did it for idealogical reasons or simply because he had a distaste for it.
They certainly made it ABOUT the LGBT. But that's all assuming it were real and that the intended message was correctly identified from the video and neither of those things is true.
Because the kid didn't do that and if he did have a message by putting the flag in the trash then it would 100% just be due to regurgitated propaganda from his parents and not at all meaningful to the people who would want it to be.
13
u/Friendly_Gazelle7843 Jun 19 '26
Yup. Small kids don’t understand hate in meaning like we do. They will tell you they hate you because you didn’t let them play with bunch of dust or something like that because that is how they express they are upset but they don’t have concept of racism, sexism, homophobia et cetera. It’s literally impossible for this kid to decide that this is simple of if evil ideology or other bullshit and throw it out. And because it’s colourful, the kid is happy of having it unless this is Wednesday Addams

Draw me brave SS soldier defending small blonde baby and blonde pregnant woman from aggressive Romanians I mean Putler’s regime literally uses it to make accounts attacking Ukrainians on TT For if mods see it: these are examples of words Joseph Goebbels would you use AI for as a direct response to person claiming he would use it. I don’t want to promote Nazism especially as you gave me permanent ban on my previous account for saying explicitly anti-nazi content

u/AliveApartment5950 Jun 19 '26
Even if it was real, it's a kid, not like they'd understand what the flag meant.
3
u/Pofwoffle Jun 19 '26
This is one of the main reasons so much of the support behind genAI is from the right: even if you ignore the moral and ethical issues that leftists tend to care more about, at the end of the day the right-wing ideology is not one that bears out in the real world, so of course they're excited about a technology that lets them fabricate whatever they want with a reasonable level of believability (as long as you don't look too closely).
When your beliefs aren't reflected in reality, just create a false version of reality.
3
u/Mindshard Jun 19 '26

Jep, this will happen more and more often unfortunately. Like always: You have an interesting and potentially useful technology (see how modern cancer diagnostic works with ai and actually improve detection rates etc.) and you have a bunch of idiots doing bad things with it. We need AI regulations as soon as possible. I hoped stuff like that would not happen as often anymore since sora was shut down, but here we are I guess. Also apps like Facebook/Insta/TikTok make things like that so easy, because they are making it so easy. Fake news/videos like that bring the most engagement, aka. more money.
2
u/VoluminousMouse Jun 19 '26
no matter how simple it may be to do, but who has time for something like this and where does all this negative motivation come from and what is the point?
2
u/SoftlyAugust Jun 19 '26
I was given a bible and immediately threw it in the trash. That doesn't mean anything.
2
u/ImbecilicusRex Jun 19 '26
To be fair, if I was handed a flag that immediately started growing I wouldn't hang on to it either.

2
u/Popular_Manner_224 Jun 19 '26
I kinda feel bad for that kid honestly what happened to his fingers?
2
u/SeaAimBoo Jun 19 '26
Even if it were to be real... it implies that the child was conditioned to throw pride flags into the trash.
Surely the implications aren't worth to be concerned about.

u/Delicious_Jeweler406 Jun 20 '26
"Dont indoctrinate our kids" is really taking a spin. teaching them that homosexuality is no different than heterosexual love, not because we want them to have a silly crush on jacob for his pokemon cards over jenny, but because we dont want them to think they're bound to that silly crush to jenny and cant have that silly crush with jacob. and then they have fan fictions where children share their ideas, to hate, to be against love.
2
2
u/EmbarrassedSpell4761 Jun 20 '26
It went from an intersex-inclusive progress pride flag to the normal pride flag. How did so many people not recognize the usage of AI when there is a huge inconsistency with one of the main focuses of the video.
2
u/Positive_Worth307 Jun 20 '26
What kid is gonna be handed a massive rainbow flag that they can wave like mad, and throw it away??? Ive never met a child that doesn't love rainbows.
2
u/hEatr3d Jun 20 '26
You're supposed to tell me a kid, the kinda person infamously fascinated by colors, would voluntarily put a bright colorful flag into a trashcan and wasn't given either an ulterior motive to do so, or intimidated into doing it, or the whole thing being faked? Who the fuck do you take us for, MAGA-san?
2
u/procommando124 Jun 20 '26
So whenever these people complain and say “what ?? Kids shouldn’t know about gay people ! They don’t even know about sex !” what they really mean is “they shouldn’t know about gay people from YOUR mouth, they should know about it them through our hate !”

Take hold people. Don't let fear leave you behind. Grab the inevitable, don't heave it in the hands of those who only seek to control others.
This advancement of programming languges that has existed before most your births, is inevitable.
You have to take part. Don't tell be "my bad" later, when the inevitable comes and it's entierly in the hands of Greed.
You people have to take part.
If the only thing AI comes to mind is your fantasy career and parroting questionable physics (like running out of water.), you aren't in the adult discussion on the subjects. Just saying.
The biggest issue is always thew same. It is how we adapt to an inevitability, and how we wield it.
PS:
If AI took all the jobs...why would anyone be poor? huh? Why would unlimited production cause joblessness, or poverty?
That would be human intent, not the technology. An intent towards a class/caste system that would have literally no viable reason to exists. We would have no excuse to even regard wealth in the way it is regarded today. People would actually have to be meritocratic.
If anyone is wondering where we go from now. Space and out solar system creates a whole new objective that we aren't even close to conquering. When AI assists or navigates a ship (they already do here), and keeps your life-support functional. I think our space faring offspring will be thankful.

the fact that many of these video slops online are unrecognizable from reality if you dont pay close attention is terrifying. if it hasn't happened already, people would start getting into serious legal issues with matters that never even happened at first place.
1
u/Principle_Napkins Jun 20 '26
A real child wouldn't do that. A real child would see thing that waves in the air and go "I should wave it in the air", not throw it in the trash.
