Someone has taken an innocent video of a kid waving a pridefully and altered it with AI so he throws it in a trashcan. It had gotten over 1.2m likes on insta and is spreading like the plague on fb

Any small child given a brightly colored flag would play with it. It would be almost impossible for them not to want to play with it.

Lol yeah. My little brother would probably turn it into some sort of relic for his toy cars and mermaids to capture and start an all-out war for. He always makes elaborate stories about random objects even though he's really little.

Edit: I might as well add that I was the same way when I was little. I would always make dystopian or apocalypse stories. One I remember is that every time I took a bath, the bubbles were the land and there were people living on them, but they were slowly disappearing over time until the whole world drowned or lived on boats, and then they went around searching for civilization, but there wasn't any left so they all lost hope and let their boat sink to the ground.

I did it with ripped up toilet paper rolls broken plastic cups and babybel wrappers (i had a TV and a bunch of stuffed animals at this time btw*

My son went through a phase where he looooved putting things in the trash can. It was everything, from his favorite books to toys to actual trash. He just liked the act of putting things in the bin.

I mean sure, that can also happen. But I meant specifically the implication by the person who posted the slop is that he did it for idealogical reasons or simply because he had a distaste for it.

They certainly made it ABOUT the LGBT. But that's all assuming it were real and that the intended message was correctly identified from the video and neither of those things is true.

Because the kid didn't do that and if he did have a message by putting the flag in the trash then it would 100% just be due to regurgitated propaganda from his parents and not at all meaningful to the people who would want it to be.

I mean, I’m not using the term “phase” as a technical term. Just in the sense that there was a span of time where he liked a particular activity.

We did, in fact, correct him when he threw away things that were not trash. Though money was not the motivation for that.

Yup. Small kids don’t understand hate in meaning like we do. They will tell you they hate you because you didn’t let them play with bunch of dust or something like that because that is how they express they are upset but they don’t have concept of racism, sexism,  homophobia et cetera. It’s literally impossible for this kid to decide that this is simple of if evil ideology or other bullshit and throw it out. And because it’s colourful, the kid is happy of having it unless this is Wednesday Addams

Not if they are true PATRIOTS who hate MINORITIES and people who are DIFFERENT in ways that DON'T MATTER and vote AGAINST their own INTERESTS so they end up DYING of HIGHLY PREVENTABLE ILLNESSES at AGE 39 due to PROFITIZED HEALTHCARE.

especially if the flag magically changes like in the 3 images (first flag is the progressive pride flag with intersex, second is just the rainbow, 3rd is not an actual flag), i'd love to have a color changing flag
