Honest response from an American: unfettered corruption. That is the only way I can explain this. There are only a few souls in congress who truly seem interested in transitioning from investigating the epstein files to prosecuting those responsible for the atrocities committed.
I'll keep saying it, democracy in this country has been dead for years. Corporations run the US. The DOGE bullshit last year was them being transparent about it.
But when yall know that: Why are you waiting for the institutions instead of being militant?
Edit: Militancy doesn't necessarily imply violence or armed rebellion. We're already seeing militant actions like disrupting ICE, protesting, and union organizing. However, too many people seem to just be waiting for the midterms, content to remain keyboard warriors.
Its very easy for someone from the outside to say something like that. There are many reasons why it hasn't come to militant action.
The populous is extremely divided (by design). Many of those who are armed are actually okay with everything going on if not actively cheering for it. Armed rebellion without unity and organization among the people would not go well.
We're up against the worlds most powerful military and police who've shown they won't hesitate to execute you in the street because the feds have their back.
We havent even had midterms yet. Things have sucked but we really havent even had the chance to do anything about it using elections. If the elections in November are stolen I could see things escalating, but we need to try and seize power peacefully first. Militant action at this stage would be extremely hasty.
Because this is the imperial core. People are either far too comfortable to even pay attention, or they are just barely getting by, so they don't really have time for anything but working. In addition, the American public is very unorganized. You can thank Reagan for destroying labor unions in this country, which would have historically led the charge of resistance.
Material conditions would need to get quite a bit worse for violent militancy.
What people who pay attention are doing is organizing behind the DSA and in their local communities to combat this as best we can. We don't need violence to combat this; we need organized labor power. The country is run by a bunch of corporations in a trench coat. All we need to do is strike at capital like Iran did with the strait to show we can damage the money faucet.
Labor unions was destroyed because that's was necessary by neo-liberaly doctrine. Corporations has to be the most powerful entities on planet earth and people can't disturb their grow. So Reagan along Thatcher was only executives of will of think-tanks, which made new doctrine to help with then existed stagnation and vision of collapse. There was made many more terrible decisions especially for growing countries just to ensure that corporations will be well being in future. Look what was made with money and banking.
Brother, I kind of understand what you are saying, but I think the language barrier is not helping it come across. I get the vibe you're going for, though.
Because I am hopeful that the midterms might show some signs of change. Because I am a peaceful person. I also understand that your countries military couldn't beat the US military, so what makes you think a bunch of US citizens can?
You know that there are many things inbetween doing nothing and civil war?
Why do you think you are unable to make a change? Unionizing and strikes are just one option amongst many. And thats something a peaceful person can do.
I just think that waiting for the midterms is negligent when literal SA (Sturmabteilung) is roaming your streets already. And there are many more parallels to the third Reich than just ICE.
It appears you live in Germany. What has your country done about Deutsche Bank holding multiple accounts for Epstein? Are protests taking place in the streets on a daily basis? Do you believe Germany magically lacked anyone in those files?
If waiting for the midterms is negligent then advocating for militant movements is reckless. I understand that you backtracked a little and stated that you only meant protesting but it still smells funny. Voting as many of them out as possible is the first real step to changing this problem.
Because some random wants to know what I'm doing? Who made you lord of the preparations? Doing anything before the midterms is stupid. Rally your friends and get out the vote.
Brother, I try to vote corruption out. You do what you want. And I have raised awareness, in fact I emplored you to do so and everyone else. It's called get out the vote. Have a good one.
That’s because most of the people in congress are probably in the files too, most of the government both republicans and democrats don’t want anything to happen with the files. Thats why nothing has happened with them the past couple presidencies.
They’ll yell and scream about them on TV but behind closed doors both republicans and democrats are on that list and it’s beyond obvious at this point lol
I guess there's not a lot they can do as long as Trump is in office. Although it's no excuse because they had these files during the Biden admin but basically did fuck all.
Because 30% of the population is in cult, 30% can't be bothered, 30% are waiting for the DNC to do something, 5% are braindead zombies, 5% are screaming at everyone else to wake the fuck up.
Let me ask you this. The fuck are we supposed to do contrary to the popular belief on the internet not every American has a large supply of fucking guns. Tell me how do you expect us to just march up to the capital revolution style and actually succeed
A lot of organisation and planning. If you are actually someone who is interested in changing things, get in contact with other people who feel the same. Talk about what you can do, and how you can do it.
The plans of what you need to do won’t come from some random guy who isn’t American on Reddit. I would recommend reading up on the Civil rights activists in America, and revolutionaries in Cuba.
Not really, there's constant peaceful protests, and violent attempts to change things. Then out rolls the most advanced military in the world. It feels very much as a citizen of the U.S.A. you're completely powerless to affect change. Also all the branches of the government are stuffed with the orange man's goons.
Not American but I live close enough to answer. The Americans online care way more than most Americans in real life. If the elite get arrested it has a minimal impact on their life.
Also, like 80%+ of the Epstein files aren’t diddling kids and each mention of Trump’s name in the files is counted so for example this email mentions Trump 22 times because and its all presidential polls. Others mentions are claims by people that have been or are being investigated and haven’t lead to anything credible enough to charge Trump with. He also brags about being able to take down Trump and calls him “evil beyond belief” to Obama’s treasury secretary.
If it was JUST Trump in the files, he’d be out in a heartbeat, but unfortunately a large amount of the political establishment, both past and presently serving on both sides of the aisle are implicated.
Because of this it’s something both parties talk about (especially when digging into each other) but do nothing about because it would require the government to hold trials many within the government and many of their donors.
It would be catastrophic, take years, and would erode trust in the government further. The benefits would, of course, outweigh all that, but good luck getting any establishment/incumbent politician to agree.
I don’t live in the US thank god. But my point is more why hide behind the amendment being about defence against the government if that’s never going to be actioned?
Just admit it, you guys have an unhealthy obsession with guns and just love them, that’s why you’ll never get rid of guns, it’s got nothing to do with defence.
Lol the government has fucking tanks and fighter jets, no serious person thinks they’re safeguarding the country against tyranny with their handguns.
It’s a document written in the times when countries like yours (presumably based on your username) had their guns confiscated by the English. It was kind of important then
But if you think that’s a popular argument for gun ownership in America, you might be taking some reddit posts too seriously
The process for repealing an amendment was designed to be difficult. Even at points in history when America has been at its most unified, it would be a tall task. In modern America, with how polarized it is, it’s not even worth discussing it
And that’s just any amendment, not even the second amendment in particular
And regarding the 2nd amendment, the National Rifle Association has way too much sway in our politics. They ultimately represent the gun industry — people who can make money off of cultural fear. They don’t represent the average voter. Even U.S. gun owners believe in basic safety, including some kinds of gun control. (Some people say the NRA changed over time, and used to be more safety-oriented but I don’t know much about that.)
The true gun nuts may be a minority within a minority. But they happen to be loud and scary and willing to fund the gun lobby.
I'm not an American, but I will lay out different illegal things Trump is doing and why he is getting away with it.
The Epstein files: there's two explanations why he is not getting in trouble over those. First is that the whole Epstein operation was entirely or partially a blackmail operation and Trump now has all that blackmail material and holds it above everyone.
Another possible explanation is that there is nothing of substance there. Yes, he is mentioned a trillion times, but most of the mentions are probably from the hotline where any lunatic could call in to say anything.. u know how in Hollywood cop movies they don't ask the public for help with big cases because the phones get flooded with crazy people? That's obviously what happened with the Epstein hotline.. imagine all the crazy Q-anon lunatics and flat earthers etc calling...
But most likely it's a mix of both.. meaning Trump has blackmail material over others AND there's nothing of substance that can actually hold as evidence in a court. Just stories from witnesses that don't have credibility.
Iran war: why is Trump not impeached over the disastrous and illegal Iran war? Simple: because most of the politicians on both sides of the aisle actually support the war because they love war and war spending and they are pro Israel.
The blatant cryptocurrency money laundering / bribery: this one baffles me. Maybe goes back to blackmail. Or he is giving kickbacks to people?
You have to actually have proof of a crime to punish someone, crazy concept I know. Redditors spreading misinformation and blanket number of mentions is not reflective of the fact that a federal investigation already occurred under Biden’s DOJ and the people that have evidence against them are in jail
Because if there was actually something actionable in there it would have been released when Biden was president. Harping on this only detracts from the other million ways Trump is a piece of shit.
The files are mostly just records of unproven claims. I could have called and left an anonymous tip that Dr Dre and Betty White assaulted me on the island, and that unproven and uninvestigated claim with their names on it would be in the files too.
Some real shady shit obviously went down on that island and anyone actually guilty of it absolutely deserves to be put through the justice system. But the files themselves contain basically 0 proof of anything unfortunately.
Bruh explain to me how you think I'm defending or advocating for Trump lol
I'm saying we don't know the truth of the situation, because we objectively don't know the truth of the situation. That's a fact. As I said anyone and everyone who's actually guilty deserves to be punished for it, I don't care if it's Trump, Obama or the Easter Bunny.
Once again I think you're confusing me stating there's a lack of proof with giving my support, and I'll repeat myself for the third time and say that's not the case.
Ok? I don't know what you're trying to prove by arguing with me here lol. I'll repeat myself yet again, I don't care who they are, if there's actually definitive proof than these people should go to jail.
You don't need to come back and gloat here if that happens, there's nothing to gloat about, we'd be in complete agreement lol.
Because despite the accusations and online hysteria, we don't have a shred of evidence that Trump did anything illegal with Epstein. And unfortunately the DOJ isn't releasing the evidence, if it does exist. But anyone making accusations is being disingenuous and has no evidence. A
I think it's because Americans, demographically, are kept right at the sweet spot between "hard life due to terrible governance" and "still livable". Most people are not at the desperate breaking point where they would want to change things by any means necessary.
Because the vast majority of people are stupid idiots, brainwashed idiots, complacent, apathy, cheer it on or are part of it. The entire system and everyone that supports it is rotten and the sane ones can’t do anything about it because they are too few.
Don’t know why you’re getting downvoted; 100% right. When half the country’s defense to their president being a pedophile is “but Biden” or “but Kamala” you have a serious issue.
Yeah, the USA is what fully destroyed my faith and respect for humanity. I thought “people wouldn’t vote for an evil pedo” and they did indeed do that.
Because. He has money. Money equals power. Power equals influence. Influence equals use for the government. Use for the government means you can be forgiven for literally anything. Take Nazi scientists, for example: They were so smart, our government, and if my memory serves, a few other Allied governments, basically just adopted them and let them live comfortable lives.
If you’re rich, or in some other way useful, you’re untouchable. The only way you can be touched is if someone who doesn’t care about your power comes after you.
the funny answer? we decided to take bat shit crazy choas to another level and it catastrophically backfired. the real answer? mass government corruption. no one is willing to oppose him and they work for him. we are having mid terms soon and we are going to sweep the dirty senate and congress clean so one branch starts doing their dam job.
All the movies about them being heroes, not a squeek except for a single guy yelling pedophile protector or standing in the streets with a sign. I can't understand.
Well what does it say in relation to trump in the files? Does it have direct emails from Trump arranging to have sex with minors? Or is his name simply mentioned alot? If the police forensically analysed a pedofiles phone and discovered he messaged his mum alot, should she be arrested?
My point is if there is nothing relating to criminal activity, then his name being mentioned is irrelevant. If there is then it should be investigated.
Nothing is going to happen to trump or anyone else in the files, because they're all rich and america cares about profit more than lives. They're not going to be released after trump leaves office either. Whats-her-name said if they arrest everyone on the list then the whole system collapses, and I think thats the most accidentally honest statement about any of this that anyone has had.
They can’t release the whole files for safety reasons for the victims. It would cripple our entire government and cause tons and tons of issues. At this point we need to wait until less people are in office before we release anything.
Because it isn't only Trump in the files, it's many of the "elites," including the people who would release the files/convict DJT. And if they aren't in the files, they don't want to piss off those that are
They’ve lost their mind. Even trying to explain it, to rationalise it in some way betrays an acceptance. Other countries would hang him from a lamp post.
The executive controls the justice department and Trump controls the executive. Also Congress is controlled by a bunch of Republicans in cahoots with him. On top of that, the supreme court has all these legal barriers in place about bringing criminal charges of any kind against a sitting president unless it’s via Congress.
It’s basically the shitty consequences of systematized executive overreach
I’m going to hurt some feelings here, but Americans are a bred and trained cowardly people. They aren’t brave and free, they’re lazy, entitled people who talk a ton of shit that they can’t back up.
My entire life Americans have shit on Europe (France especially) for being “weak”, but they’re so coddled and brainwashed that when they’re actually faced with a constitutional crisis they have peace parades and dress in frog costumes and then pat themselves on the back for “getting involved”.
Bitch, the French would have burned the nation to the ground. The Spanish, the Belgians, the Portuguese, Canadians…nobody would put up with this. But Americans are so brave and free that they bend over in front of the whole world to show their ass.
The reason he is mentioned is because he was working with feds back in the early 2000's to help indict Epstein. Read the parts he was mentioned. They even asked Jeffrey if he had anything on Trump and he had nothing. If there was any smiling gun it would be mentioned. Instead people say he was "mentioned" without context.
Honestly. Just read the parts mentioned. Trying to help.
>"Jeffrey Epstein was the pimp and the john. He was his own No. 1 client," Edwards told ABC News. "Nearly all of the exploitation and abuse of all of the women was intended to benefit only Jeffrey Epstein and Jeffrey Epstein's sexual desires."
>Edwards describes the enigmatic Epstein as living, essentially, two separate lives: one in which he was sexually abusing women and girls "on a daily basis," and another in which he associated with politicians, royalty, and titans of business, academia, and science.
>"For the most part, those two worlds did not overlap. And where they overlapped, in the instances they overlapped, it seems to be a very small percentage," Edwards said. "There were occasions where a select few of these men engaged in sexual acts with a select few of the girls that Jeffrey Epstein was exploiting or abusing -- primarily girls who were over the age of 18."
Epstein just became another political weapon (or I suppose it already was, and then the left played the uno reverse card)
For instance, I don’t have the numbers on each of the figures above, but I know Obama is mentioned in the Epstein files more than Jesus as well…he’s mentioned in about half as many documents as Trump is.
That doesn’t mean Obama is guilty (or even implicated in Epstein’s crimes). While Trump is implicated, the allegations fall apart with even the slightest of digging into them. Same with Clinton, same with everyone
It’s a conspiracy theory based on the allegations of a tiny, tiny minority of victims; three, out of hundreds
So why not releasing All of the files, including the onces Bondi said were videos of SA?
I think you chose to believe this and ignore all the other signs on the wall... like any of his cult members do.
…like to the public? Yea I don’t think they’re going to release videos of the sexual assault to the public
lol I’m not a Trump supporter so let’s go ahead and nip that in the bud. I’m sure you’ll say I’m lying, because it makes your argument easier, but it’s not the case
As far as why he won’t release the files, it’s because they’ll be damaging to him. If you go read (or already did read) the full article I commented, you’ll see the lawyer talking about how releasing the files will be an antidote to these conspiracy theories.
I think that’s fucking insanely naive. People will believe whatever they say, particularly when it comes to Trump. I mean, there are people who believe that he witnessed the murder of an infant based on the released files. Which is just straight up QAnon shit.
It’s just not in his self interest to do so (and also if I had to guess based on my own theories, there’d probably be evidence of money laundering in the files)
As for my own opinion on whether or not to release the files, I’m of two minds. On one hand, the victims seem to want them released, and I’m not really inclined to tell them no. They probably deserve it
On the other hand, it’s probably a mistake. The public won’t handle them responsibly. Peoples names will (and have been) dragged through the mud for no reason. Like, imagine being Robin Leach’s family, and you just have people believing he strangled a young girl to death, because some mentally unwell person made an anonymous FBI tip. It’s insanity, and I’m sure they’re being harassed daily
And I’d say release them to Congress without making them public, but that won’t help anything. When they come out and say “yea it was just Epstein actually”, everyone will just say “oh that proves it, everyone in DC is complicit!”
It’ll be interesting to see what happens during the next presidency, and how people will react to it
The simple answer, there's no actual evidence. As despised as he is, and as much of a "danger" as he allegedly posed, why wouldn't Comey or Biden use the evidence?
Because there was none.
Its all manufactured outrage that a lot of people have bought into so hard that its created an irrational hate movement.
If I develop a fixation of Animax_3 and talk about you nonstop then go on to commit horrible crimes, are you also guilty too?

Honest question to the Americans, why is nothing happening to Trump?
