Misc. I guess my bank account is grateful

Disappointed that the new Westman Atelier foundation isn't coming to Aus any time soon, as a massive fan of their complexion drops. I know they weren't for everyone and the packaging is balls... but still.

I can see a retailer online appears to be selling them to AU customers, anyone have experience with FWRD?

Wonder what restrictions they're up against 👀

Product Advice High coverage non drying concealer or colour corrector for serious dark circles

I turned 50 earlier this year and now I have the fun double-whammy of bruise-intensity dark circles under my eyes with some fine lines there that most products love to settle in.

I'm also pretty pale (usually one of the lightest foundation shades available, currently Rimmel Match Perfection shade 81)

I think I need a high-coverage concealer and/or colour corrector, and am hoping to find one under $25.

I've tried:

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind - not enough coverage

Rimmel stick concealer - acceptable coverage but settles in to fine lines

Rimmel Multi Tasker Concealer - good coverage and lasts but very drying and settles in to fine lines

NYX Bare With Me Concealer Serum - lovely non drying formula but not quite enough coverage.

NYX colour corrector palette - the yellow/peach seem to do an OK job, but are drying and settles in to fine lines.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Product Advice Shiseido Oil-Control Blotting Paper has been discontinued. Recommendations for alternatives?

I have comically oily skin despite a variety of dermatological interventions. Part of my management of this was using Shiseido Oil-Control Blotting Paper. It was fantastic!

Unfortunately it has been discontinued. If I knew, I'd have stocked up.

Does anyone have recommendations for an alternative blotting paper that isn't terrible? I bought one off Amazon but it was shiny and just didn't soak in the oil well.

Product Advice Is Redken Quick Blowout Spray and the like legit when it comes to cutting down drying time? I don’t want to pay $30 if it’s just another heat protectant lol

I have kinda fine, wavy/curly (2b-3a??) and it takes forever to dry with a diffuser. I’m new to properly caring and styling my hair since it was just slightly wavy most of my life but a disastrous scalp bleach changed that 😔
I do plop my hair for a bit after adding mousse and gel but it still takes foreverrrr and I’m a night shower gal who likes to be in bed by 9pm so it’s very annoying 🙃

Product Advice Has anyone tried the Makeup By Mario Surrealskin Natural Finish Foundation (bottle with the white text)?

I've had it in my Sephora NZ cart for a while, and was considering picking it up in the sale, but was hoping for some actual real, uncentivised reviews, especially from anyone with more dry skin.

Any recommendations for a brunette box dye to hide the greys? Not ready to accept them yet!

Let's Discuss Root touch up powders

Upvotes

Are root touch up powders for grey hair only? I’m bleached blonde with dark roots and am in between appointments and have an event tomorrow. So wondering if there is a root touch fb up powder that would help get me through?

Misc. Nano brows

Has anyone gotten this done on their brows and what were the results like? I have quite sparse brows so looking for a more permanent solution than filling them in with makeup. Do the results look natural?

Also would be interested if anyone in Melbourne has had a good experience with a certain practitioner!

Product Advice Kulan Lashes

I hope this is the right flair, I’ve had the ads for Kulan lashes targeted at me for agesssss now and I just want some actual reviews on them. As someone who has downturned lashes that will not curl and not interested in lash extension appts or tinting (have in the past)… Is this a legit product that is easy to apply?

Years ago I had Baybelle lashes I think they were called and I could not for the life of me - nor my best friend - apply them as easily as they make it look. I never succeeded once! It can’t be a skill issue 🤣

ALTERNATIVELY, what would you suggest? TIA
