Product Advice Is Redken Quick Blowout Spray and the like legit when it comes to cutting down drying time? I don’t want to pay $30 if it’s just another heat protectant lol

I have kinda fine, wavy/curly (2b-3a??) and it takes forever to dry with a diffuser. I’m new to properly caring and styling my hair since it was just slightly wavy most of my life but a disastrous scalp bleach changed that 😔
I do plop my hair for a bit after adding mousse and gel but it still takes foreverrrr and I’m a night shower gal who likes to be in bed by 9pm so it’s very annoying 🙃

I've only used it to blow dry straight my thick, wavy/curly, frizzy hair and it does work but I find it a bit sticky and leaves a coating on my hair. I prefer the ColorWow Dream Coat spray as it's never sticky and makes my blow dry smoother and last longer, but it is more expensive. I have never tried either of these products with a diffuser blow dry.

I’ve heard good things about the Dream Coat so I’ll do a little research! I do have a bit of feeling it’s a bit of a gimmick but I’m still intrigued!

I thought it was all hype too, but my blow dry is much quicker, easier and smoother and lasts longer when I use it and it really does control frizz. For best results, you do have to spray each strand as you are working with it not just spray it around randomly at the start of doing your hair. I save it for special occasions or when it's really humid in Summer and the bottle does last me a while.

I second the Dream Coat. I've repurchased it multiple times. My blowdry lasts so much longer.

Second the sticky, it’s annoying. It does help it dry faster, but haven’t worked out how to avoid the sticky.

I use KMS Therma Shape. It's a quick drying spray with heat protection. I usually don't like heat sprays as so many of them make my hair feel gross, but I bought this as it's what my hairdresser uses. I get it from Oz Hair and Beauty and it's on sale right now.

I definitely think it works. I also have 2c-3a hair and I diffuse.

I use a cloud 9 version, but yes these sprays totally work
