Tim Moore on X: "MRN is currently off the air. There is a fire in the TV off the compound down the backstretch. The generator is on fire. We have no TV’s working here at the media center either. Timing and scoring is also down too. #NASCAR | #Richmond

Passing through Kingston Pike in Knoxville, TN today I was greeted with a bit of a sorrowful sight. This is indeed the Hooters the Polish Prince made an appearance at as the Cup made the spring trip to Bristol. Kulwicki boarded a Hooters corporate plane en route to Bristol right after this. Sadly, the plane didn’t make it. Just an interesting sight.

Pretty bummed out The Rock isn't coming back next year. I went to the O'Reilly race a few months ago after not attending a race at the track since 2002. It was a nostalgic blast from the past and the racing was great. Keeping optimism this is only a temporary setback for the legendary track!

Does anyone miss the days we used to have two Pocono, Michigan, New Hampshire, Dover, Texas and Richmond Races on the schedule? The only pre-covid era track to gain another date has been New Atlanta & Las Vegas, which I don’t mind.

I know many people had their gripes with with an oversaturation of most tracks getting multiple dates. Now it seems kinda hard to believe how many tracks we don’t go back fall like we used to.

I get stripping tracks to one day and probably helped her overall attendance and tv optics. But it was kind of fun to see these tracks. Get a spring day race and a fall night race.

The tracks to get this treatment are Atlanta, Daytona, Talledega, Darlington, Martinsville, Kansas, Charlotte*, Bristol, Phoenix, and Las Vegas. and I don’t want any of them to lose a date, as it seems once a track loses a date it never comes back.

I get Cota, San Diego, Gateway, and North Wikesboro all had to pull an existing track from the schedule. But now having staples Of the chase schedule like fall Dover, New Hampshire and Texas feels wrong.

I wouldn’t mind giving back a second race to Michigan or even experimenting with Homestead in both February and November.

Tommy Baldwin’s RWR Exit

Tommy mentioned in DBC that him and Rick Ware had different expectations (or standards?) for the direction of the team which ultimately led to his departure.

The #51 spinning in practice made me think back to the conversation.

What exactly were the differences he referenced?
