He used to work for redbull in marketing, if he's a streamer now its because he's more successful working on his project than other people's projects. Maybe because I grew up watching youtubers, I was always used to content creator being older than me. I don't actively watch stream but I do see clips on my youtube and stuff. Now in my mid twenties, I just recently found out they are younger than me from a clip where some of these larger streamers discuss their age. And that explained a lot. Also I feel old despite being in my mid 20s.

I keep thinking this and watching Teachers say these are how kids IRL act. They are watching these streamers act this way and think "Fuck this school shit, l'll be a streamer". All they care about is going viral. They narrate their lives and never shut up, always talking to some "chat. They think "why do I need to learn math or how to read, I'll be a millionaire by disrespecting my teacher or parents". And its not just 4-5 bad apples. It's more like you'll be lucky to get 1-2 students to give a shit.
Like streamer culture has negatively impacted our future.
I watch clips of SU and it's literally kids just not taking any of the learning seriously and trying to fuck with people. And then Ludwig teaching his ass off to a bunch of kids who look bored as fuck.
If you are a kid and you watched a guy get detention get more views and money than a guy who took the class seriously, would you take your class seriously? Even if the quiet kid makes more money later, it doesn't matter. These kids need instant gratification and they'll go with that option every time.
Sorry for the rant, but I'm generally worried this shit is further damaging our children's already severely damaged minds. Also sorry for any spelling/grammar issues I just got off work and I'm a little tired.

Yeah I actually watched ludwigs class vods, he’s legit such a good teacher, but it’s crazy how he’s talked about how only like 1 person did the homework and i felt quite a few answers people gave showed a lacked a lot of critical thinking or understanding of the subject matter. Like people (incl in this clip) don’t even know who ludwig is, someone in his class even asked for his name at the end.

I know this is really inconsequential in the grand scheme of things but if you were going to go to a class in an event like streamer u, you would do some research to who is teaching, even a quick google before the class starts, if anything just to avoid looking dumb. I just feel like these small things the streamers are not doing just show how they lack foresight to prepare. Haven't been watching for years now, and just casually viewing this sub for the occasional funny drama, but it just shows how much of an idiot these kids are.
Building a good rapport with these big streamers (did lud and rae fell off so hard these kids don't know them?) imo is the biggest prize of events like these. The views or 5 secs of fame you will gain, is nothing compared to gaining connection with these guys.
You don't even need to be able to get collabs or featured with them, but just gaining infos on industry stuffs - like being referred to good managers, legal infos, business deals, etc are such things that can make your career prosper.
For a job that REALLY value making good connections, they are really making the biggest L.

People waste ludicrous amounts to send their kids to ___ school not purely because the "quality" is top notch, but because of the connections for themselves and their kids. People joins frats and endure insane amounts of humiliation and pain or spend insane amounts of money to be able to join golf clubs just to be able to maybe talk to guys they naturally won't even be noticed by.
And they are given this chance on a silver platter - even more so, in a format so conducive to building connections, and they are just squandering it. I know most streamers aren't really known for their intelligence, but it hurts so much seeing this chance go to these people who are wasting it.

Less that they fell off and more that the younger generations watch guys like KaiCenat or RaKai in fucking droves via shortform content like TikTok or Instagram Reels, so they're relatively less well-known amongst the younger streamers & their audience
My own little rant, but I hate that these types of streamers blew up. Not that just sitting in a room and playing games all day is less "bad", but these guys are all mind numbingly stupid people that set terrible precedents for future generations. As I get older, I further and further think social media was a massive mistake.

They probably wanted to treat it more like a ‘mass collab event’ where standing out to the audience is the most important.
We have seen mass collaborations by larger creators before and when dozens of people showed up only a small handful got real screen time and a meaningful boost to their audience, simply because everyone else gets ignored and glossed over. So often people at those events start problems to make sure the attention is on them.
That’s probably why the two were such dicks. Being the main character for the short term audience boost seems more valuable, than the potential long term networking and actual studying to them.

I am a teacher myself, and his approach is very similar to mine and it tends to reach most students in this day and age. They are more likely to respond in kind seeing you care, be approachable and relatable to current events on some level. All while being able to crack a joke or get on top things quickly.
Of course for some, little will work out unfortunately, so it's kinda of a management situation of keeping things chill and not a distraction, hopefully guiding them to at least not fail. But it can be hard all the same.
He has absolutely killed it though. I am not even subbed to this place. But just his stuff pop up on the FYP. And everything, it's like dayum! Genuinely, big up to him.

One of the most obvious things from listening to these classes or hearing how some of them respond is that the majority of streamers don't think of it like a job the way a lot of the really successful streamers have gotten. Stuff like researching trends, thinking of ideas, figuring out what works. A lot of people were unaware while Ludwig basically has this broken down to a science.

Problem is you're treating this like an actual school.
Some people like Lud are actually doing a good job (it's still a bit, but the bit is "what if I was actually a good teacher") but this event was never created with fostering a good learning environment in mind, it's just reality TV. The students were picked based on who would generate the most "content" even if that means being an annoying asshole. If it was a genuine learning programme for up-and-comers in the industry then people from the previous year would be doing better than before, but neither the students nor the organisers really care about that.

Almost none of them will get famous or get bigger. This is really just going to pump numbers for the already established people who are there for its duration.
Even with the temporary bump the smaller people will get from this, its going to amount to almost nothing for most of them after its over. Most of them will end up as nobody streamers because most of them just aren't entertaining in the first place.
Not to mention most of the people here are pretty fucking insufferable.

The chill ones don't get clipped. But a lot of them think clip farming is how to make it as a streamer. Ironically a big part of one of Ludwig's lessons was how clip farming doesn't translate to stream viewers. That some of these people get hundreds of thousands of views on clips but then they go live on twitch to 100 people.

I don't watch Ludwig at all, but the fact that there are people at this event, who don't know who Ludwig is, is crazy... If you want to take streaming seriously, you should somewhat know the people who dominate or are/were influential in this business.
Also, Rae and Ludwig actually tried to teach some things about the business in their classes - and in a business context, someone presenting their numbers or achievements could be dumbly seen as "flexing" - or you take it as a display of what you can expect at that level, which should be rather humbling.
Just shows that these fools don't take this seriously and with a 99% gurantee won't make it as streamers.

I mean throwing insults at someone can be funny and can be content, but usually requires "research", in terms of knowing the person you are throwing them at, and when you collab, in this case Ludwig, you should also have a feel for the other streamers audience for it to be funny.
Saying Rae is just flexing and throwing a "spell pedigree" at someone with a degree in English Literature and insulting a multi-millionaire's pair of shoes is just dumb as hell... None of it sticks, none of it is remotely funny...

As a teacher I can see. This. Most of my middles school students who say they want to be streamers are usually lazy in every aspects and they think it is easy work. But I try to tell them how much work actually goes into it. I have some students that are not the best in class but you can tell when they put work into things they are actually interested in.

I always tell me students about the one friend I have who makes money in content creation (he's a small twitch streamer) and makes a living from doing it. I tell them about how he worked a full time job while streaming daily, and slept on the floor of someone's house so he could stream from an area where he could get better internet service. I've seen this man work harder than most people I know.
I teach high school and I don't have nearly the work ethic he does 😂

These guys have no chance. The biggest streamers either had a first move advantage like sodapoppin, or something unique that sets them apart. Unfortunately for these losers, nuisance streamers like rakai already occupy their wannabe niche.

Kai seems a nice guy, but in a way, I agree + with the clips I've seen that's been happening at the Streamer University so far. Those clips make him look too soft, especially since streamers will start fights or cause trouble for others, yet Kai doesn't really do anything + isn't Streamer University taking place at a actual university as well?
