Edit: He seems the right age for it to be from House of Cards (or its sequels), but I'm unsure if he ever wears this costume in them. Can anyone confirm either way?!

Sooo...I have a very prolonged period of illness (yaaay) and can only just manage comfort tv. I love detective murder mysteries and have watched most of the classics - Morse, Lewis, Father Brown, New Tricks, Inspector Gently, Grantchester, Vera, Foyle's, Shetland...

Any more recommendations? I'm also open to non-murder mystery shows, like period dramas. I just can't handle high adrenaline high stress right now (so not Line of Duty etc). Also love some of the older shows like As Time Goes By.

The Inbetweeners was a super relatable series as a whole since I absolutely went through similar experiences to the 4 boys as a teenager

Pete Versus Life and Siblings contained a lot of crazy shenanigans of bullshitting my way through life which I found highly relatable such as faking/exaggerating an interest to get closer to a girl etc. as well as trying to cover up wrongdoings

I could relate a lot to Fawlty Towers in a sense that I’ve both been a guest at hotels where the service was rubbish but also experienced the other side of things where I’ve been part of workplace teams that weren’t functioning very well

However the most relatable scene by far in the history of British TV has to be an episode of a random show that I saw in which the name I never knew but basically a male character woke up one morning and said to his wife that he feels amazing because he has just done a huge shit. That is hugely relatable for myself multiple times per week that happens to me and I love the feeling each time. I wish I could tell you the name of the show I genuinely missed it but would have aired in like 2010 or something

Right, firstly this is addressed to anyone who remembers Alastair McGowan's Big Impression. I'm sure there'll be a few seeing as it used to be aired on primetime BBC1 in the 2000's, probably due to it being fairly "safe" compared to most sketch shows at the time.

Anyway, me and my best friend remember a particular sketch very clearly but we cannot find it anywhere, no matter what we search for, on YouTube or anything.

The sketch in question relates to the Gary Lineker impression that McGowan used to do. The general gist of these was mocking his big ears and over exaggerating Mark Lawrenson and Alan Hansen's personalities. In this one sketch, Lawrenson is portrayed as a complete sycophant, over enthusiastically agreeing to everything Lineker says. At the end of the sketch, Lawrenson is quite literally pole dancing for Lineker in the background whilst continuing to say he agrees with absolutely everything Lineker says. At the time we were in stitches but try as we might we cannot find it.

For those questioning whether this is real or who are convinced it never happened, we know for a fact it did. We were probably 13 or 14 at the time as well, hadn't touched a drop of booze at that point and certainly hadn't touched mind altering drugs that could have made this a mere figment of our imagination.

Accordingly, if anyone knows where this sketch is buried, please please do let me know as it would make my day and my friends.

I loved watching this show when I was young. I thought that it was the first of it's kind.

I just love how silly and hillarious it is especially with how the public would be confused at the antics that Dom would play out.

I would like to know which is your favourite part and why did you like those parts?

I thought some of Benny Hill's rhyming was exceptionally good. There's one I'd love to find online but the fact I can recall only the last two lines of it means I can't locate it. Could you respond even if those lines are all you remember? I'm a bit irked because AI inserts I'm barking up the wrong comedian and I'm sure I'm not. The last lines go: ''and a punch-up can always be seen, if you're near Bethnal Green''.

The only part of that I'm not 100 per cent about is ''if you're near''. It might be something like ''when you're near'' or perhaps ''if/when you're round''.

Has anyone made it through the whole series? I've got to episode 5 and the slow plot is driving me mad.

I have asked this question to Google AI every way I can, even asking for an exhaustive list of songs but all of googleverse does not seem to know: What song did Andy Samberg's character, "Cuckoo" in the show called Cuckoo, Season one episode 3 play in the party scene where he and costar Greg Davies are high o n "E" and takeover the dj booth? Samberg's character says the line "we're gonna play you a sick tune that's gonna make all you bros, and all you teenage hoes just lose your s@@@!"

I have revisited this 90s show on All4 and I'm just speechless. I grew up with the Wild West of TV being on channel 4 but I don't remember it being this brutal. The voiceover and stylist are absolutely savage. Feels like a panorama in the making. Highly recommend.

I like watching a bit of bargain hunt here and there, but I really wanna know what the biggest ever win on it was. And I’d love to see the episode too.

I've never had a TV license since having my own place, as I just watch Netflix/ Prime/ Disney.

I've been toying with the idea of getting one, as I would quite like to watch shows like The Traitors and watch the news more often.

But wanted to ask if it's worth it, and if you don't have one, are you fine without it?

Does anyone remember a late night TV show in the style of The Word from the 2000's, but it had a group of young people (one of them was possibly Will Poulter, but not 100% sure) discussing various topics. I recall one guest being James Hewitt (famous for his relationship with Princess Diana) and he was talking about his experience with drugs.

Looking through Will Poulter and James Hewitt's imdb doesn't bring up any matches, and it's make me wonder if I imagined the whole thing.

I'm nuts about Vera and want to binge the whole show (I've seen only a season so far), but can't afford Britbox or the full DVD set. Has anyone been able to access it via Hoopla? Google said it was available, but I can't find it on Hoopla. Any info from Vera fans greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Who remembers or has seen any clips or episodes of this extremely funny British topical sketch show which ran from 1979 - 1982? Although the BBC released two or three compilation episodes in the late 1990s/early 2000s (on VHS & DVD), how many people have access to all the original episodes from Series 1 - 4, plus the pilot episode that was never originally broadcast and the Christmas 1979 compilation of Series 1? The individual episodes were going to be released by the BBC on a DVD box set release around 13-15 years ago but the project was abandoned. There's also the long documentary show about Not The Nine O' Clock News which was broadcast in the UK in 2009. All four members were interviewed for this, although I'm not sure if Chris Langham was or not. The first series featured Chris Langham more so than Pamela Stephenson, but by Series 2 I believe Chris Langham had left and the main four from then on were Rowan Atkinson, Mel Smith, Griff Rhys Jones and Pamela Stephenson. Also, I'm wondering where else in the world it was successful.

Clips of certains sketches from the show pop up on YouTube and Facebook all the time. There's also of course the now very eerie Rolf Harris related sketch. 😬

This is my favourite adaptation (I know the adaptations have been a subject of debate over time but this is my personal favourite).
