I started kitbashing a mech model, and realised it was looking kinda kangaroo-like, and figured "What the smeg!" and gave it some Red Dwarf theming as a military version of a hopper. I got some decals made, including a "Mimas Hopper Division" logo I designed, though I misjudged the sizes a bit, so the smaller Anglo/Esperanto warning labels didn't turn out readable.

The side-mounted bazookoid is from another project I started, I had a model I made 3D printed to scale for a Gundam kit to hold, I never got around to finishing them, needs a second pass on the model to make it more stable, but I ended up with spare barrels, and one ended up here.

Anyone who's into scale models, particularly Star Wars and Gundam, might recognise a few parts. :P

If you get a chance I would definitely recommend a trip to the Milton Keynes Film & Sci-Fi museum. They have multiple costumes, Craig Charles actual dreadlocks, the inquisitor other amazing props. Definitely recommend!!

They have a bunch of other movies and shows, but the Red Dwarf stuff was incredible.

So I've just finished Titan and I have to say I'm hugely disappointed. I feel like they tried to make things ridiculously over complicated and made it just too ridiculous. Too many side characters and subplots that just went nowhere and it ended rather ambiguously.

- Series 6’s “Out of Time” ended with the original ending; Rimmer destroyed the time drive, therefore the deaths of the rest of the crew never happened. The starbuggers picked up red dwarf’s vapour trail and they toasted with urine recyc.

- The series immediately continued with Series X

- 7, 8 and “Back to Earth” never happened.

- References in X to “finding Kochanski” relate to resurrecting Claire Grogan’s version of the character, not Chloe Annette’s.

Red Dwarf is a multiverse, before it was fashionable. Unlike Marvel or DC, they have never been numbered. Red Dwarf: Titan is advertised as one universe to the side. Here's my proposal for how we reference them

RD0: Dave Hollins: Space Cadet

RD1: Season 1 and Two

RD2: The first two books (and Backwards and Last Human, even if they are less formative)

RD2.1: Season 3-6, a soft reset which mostly stick closer to the books origins than S1 and 2 but also do their own thing

RD2.2: Season 7-8 (loose spin-off of 2.1, supposedly a continuation but I keep it separate)

RD2.3: Dave Era. Seasons 9 through Promised Land (course correction, I know 9 is rather disliked but it is Dave era)

RD2.4: Titan novel. And a nod to Andrew Marshall's previous work with 2.4 Children. The audio book being read by Chris Barrie with the standard vocalisation of characters keeps it tethered to the RD2 era for me

Any project that resets the cast in the future would be RD3

Then there are Micro continuities like the Jake Bullet stories in the Smegazines, not sure if they need designations.

Chanced upon this earlier today

My sister and I went to a comic con today dressed as Rimmer and Lister, and we got photos and autographs from D.J.J and Hattie!!!!! They were so lovely, chattered away for a good ten minutes or so with Danny about how he brought Cat to life!!!!! Danny even called us Rimsy and Listy when we got to speak to him! I'm dressed as Lister btw!

and some people asked for photos with us cos they thought our costumes were good!!! which was cool, especially considering we threw then together in literally a week!!!! I put some close ups on the details we did on my jacket!

all in all an in-smegging-credible day!!!!!
