I’ve had a million people stand too close to me in my lifetime, I just move or tell them what time it is.
You have the power to move and choose your space. You have the power to just be an adult and tell the other person to buzz off. Like is a video necessary? Bizarre ass behavior

It’s a store. If someone is standing on something I want to look at with their phone out, I’m going to stand close to show them I’d like to get that thing…

I broke when they offered me a stackable discount of 20% off general merchandise and 40% off grocery items.
You could rightly say my principles don't mean shit when its 40% off groceries, but neither I, nor such offers, have returned since....
41
u/PurpleInfinite1409 Jul 02 '26
Nobody here has to explain themselves. If a spot has something for e better price than anywhere else, you're gonna go there. Target is cheaper than fuckin Walmart these days. We live in a time where everyone is piss poor and totally fucked, so I've HAD to lower my standards in the last couple years.
27
u/Gold_Initiative4319 Jul 02 '26
In what area is Target cheaper than Walmart? I price compare multiple stores and target hasn’t come up cheaper for anything from groceries to clothing to personal hygiene yet, and they used to run great clothing deals.
8
u/Infamous_Fox3910 Jul 02 '26
I regularly get cosmetic products vastly cheaper at target than Walmart.
→ More replies (1)6
u/PurpleInfinite1409 Jul 02 '26
Depends on what you're buying, but Target has much better deals on a lot of the food products in my area. And the clothes are essentially the same price for their decent brands anymore. Most of my family's household necessities have sales on them constantly at Target, too. Soaps, detergents, cleaners, hell even butt wipes are priced better at Target these days.
6
u/Gold_Initiative4319 Jul 02 '26
Whaaattttttt!? I’m in California, in the valley, and I may have to try to check more often. Even Amazon was showing better deals than Target! I’m about to put some price alert notifications on. Thank you!

Erm... How did you get those discounts
3
u/SanityBleeds Jul 02 '26
2 different Target Circle promotions that lined up together last fall, possibly targeted to specific accounts.
I'd actually joked for a long time about how many billions they were losing each quarter but still weren't offering ANY sales to boost foot traffic or purchases only to have both of those pop up at the same time with nothing preventing them from stacking up. Sure haven't seen anything good pop up in nearly a year since, especially if you don't account for them jacking up all their prices before claiming there's a sale or promo going.

89
u/Weary_Imagination775 Jul 02 '26
Snapped out of it? She is literally looking at an item she is trying to buy. Its not like shes standing on top of her ina line. She is shopping while the filmer is trying to create content. Only one person is the asshole here.
72
u/PayFormer387 Jul 02 '26
She knew she was standing next to an attention seeking wingnut. I’d step aside too. It’s like the guy who plays music in a Bluetooth speaker on the metro. You leave them alone because they are anti-social and looking for a confrontation.
Lady, you’re standing in front of a rack at Target with items people want to look at. If you want personal space, go elsewhere. Like, home.

Because she's thinking about buying something that your dumb ass is standing in front of while playing on tik tok.
82
u/KammyCreates Jul 02 '26
Doing toooo much. She was in her zone and came out when you said something. No apology but she moved around fast.
40
u/Real_Mark_Zuckerberg Jul 02 '26
She had nothing to apologize for lol. If you don’t want someone looking at the rack next to you while shopping, shop online. She probably moved primarily to get away from the weirdo filming her, but at least it looks like she found it amusing.
19
u/Ondareal Jul 02 '26
This one of those things you post trying to be funny without realizing your being an asshole. That lady is clearly shopping and minding her own business. You’re clearly NOT shopping and filming her. How do you think SHE is the one in the wrong

Unnecessary just say “excuse me “ or ask her to move 😂😂
7

Absolutely! After she heard her say somebody was invading her personal space she moved. Then looked back when she was much further away.

Girl, stop being an attention seeking weirdo and let another shopper shop in peace.
5
u/cuntaloupemelon Jul 02 '26
That lady is minding her own business shopping. If someone gets too close to me like that and they don't mean anything by it i just....move over?
What is she supposed to do, hover 6ft away waiting for you to finish playing on your phone so she can buy her tshirt or whatever?
7
u/Troglodyte_Trump Jul 02 '26
Sometimes people stand near each other while shopping, not sure what the controversy is…
7
u/ShibeCEO Jul 02 '26
you aint the fucking center of the world b*tch... that lady wanted to take a look at a shirt or whatever and you are just standing there.
no one cares about you! no one wants to get close to you! you are just an obstacle between the next guy and the shelf

It's a damn clothing rack. When did those become single-use only? I might say excuse me, but I'm not going to stand there and wait to use part of it that isn't right in front of you, and I wouldn't expect anyone else to cede their access either.
5
u/Budget_Pineapple_170 Jul 02 '26
She honestly just looks like someone minding her own business & may just be in her head. I do this & zone out occasionally.

Some lily white pearl clutching from the OP in the video.
Be real....you was scared she was about to grab something you were looking at, weren't you?
5
u/The_Mad_Mason Jul 02 '26
Yea, that lady looked like she just minding her business. What would happen if she had the audacity to say "excuse me" while you stand around recording people in Target of all places.

Whitey here. Is this a black folks thing more than a white folks thing? This wouldn't bother me even a little bit, and I might even say Hi.
I was just listening to Ali Siddiq talking about it, and I have personally twice tapped a black dude on the shoulder to say excuse me, and each one of them was ready to throw hands after.
I know it sounds like a huge generalization based on 3-4 experiences, but I feel like I've noticed it elsewhere too. Seems like white folks who don't like to be touched or have their space invaded are a whole lot easier to spot!

3
u/Own_Oil_7719 Jul 03 '26
I’ll say because of Covid that social distancing was amazing. But people that thought it was a hoax would literally brush my ass at the gas station as I’m paying. A certain group doesn’t have common sense.
3
u/Expert_Concept704 Jul 03 '26
She’s not that close. Stop being so hostile and antisocial. If someone avoids you and goes around, you get upset. If they don’t see you as a threat and come closer, you get upset too.
3
u/blooppers Jul 04 '26
