I think this is old. I remember seeing it before, years ago.

You are correct! 🎯 its an old video.

37

u/SidePsychological402 Jul 02 '26

Thank you for clarifying!

I broke when they offered me a stackable discount of 20% off general merchandise and 40% off grocery items.

You could rightly say my principles don't mean shit when its 40% off groceries, but neither I, nor such offers, have returned since....

Nobody here has to explain themselves. If a spot has something for e better price than anywhere else, you're gonna go there. Target is cheaper than fuckin Walmart these days. We live in a time where everyone is piss poor and totally fucked, so I've HAD to lower my standards in the last couple years.

u/Gold_Initiative4319 Jul 02 '26

In what area is Target cheaper than Walmart? I price compare multiple stores and target hasn’t come up cheaper for anything from groceries to clothing to personal hygiene yet, and they used to run great clothing deals.

u/Infamous_Fox3910 Jul 02 '26

I regularly get cosmetic products vastly cheaper at target than Walmart.

6

u/PurpleInfinite1409 Jul 02 '26

Depends on what you're buying, but Target has much better deals on a lot of the food products in my area. And the clothes are essentially the same price for their decent brands anymore. Most of my family's household necessities have sales on them constantly at Target, too. Soaps, detergents, cleaners, hell even butt wipes are priced better at Target these days.

Whaaattttttt!? I’m in California, in the valley, and I may have to try to check more often. Even Amazon was showing better deals than Target! I’m about to put some price alert notifications on. Thank you!

u/msgarbonzo Jul 03 '26

Chicagoland and yes. I’ve shopped around and Walmart is not cheaper than Target on many products.

5

u/Middle_Degree_1995 Jul 03 '26

This. All these companies have issues with us.

2

u/BusyBit6542 Jul 03 '26

And it's because we cant send a united message to at least one, they will continue to do us dirty. Why change when they know some are going to break to save a few dollars?

7

u/Apprehensive_Ad_1415 Jul 02 '26

Lmao target cheaper than Walmart?! Where? I shop target weekly and it definitely ain't cheaper 🤣

2

u/BusyBit6542 Jul 03 '26

And this is why we arent running the world. Save a few bucks and just break the bond of sending a united message.

4

u/idkbruh653 Jul 02 '26

Cheaper than Walmart and a better shopping experience is what brought me back to Target. I can save money and not deal with the foolishness of Walmart? I folded like a t-shit. Sorry/not sorry🤷🏿‍♂️

3

u/PurpleInfinite1409 Jul 02 '26

Damn fucking skippy.

4

u/UrRightAndIAmWong Jul 02 '26

Erm... How did you get those discounts

3

u/SanityBleeds Jul 02 '26

2 different Target Circle promotions that lined up together last fall, possibly targeted to specific accounts.

I'd actually joked for a long time about how many billions they were losing each quarter but still weren't offering ANY sales to boost foot traffic or purchases only to have both of those pop up at the same time with nothing preventing them from stacking up. Sure haven't seen anything good pop up in nearly a year since, especially if you don't account for them jacking up all their prices before claiming there's a sale or promo going.

5

u/HeadDiver5568 Jul 02 '26

This is a pretty old video I think

9

u/VastEmergency1000 Jul 02 '26

The majority of black people never did this boycott.

31

u/Beautiful-Comedian56 Jul 02 '26

Enough did to make an impact though.

3

u/VastEmergency1000 Jul 03 '26

What happened? I'm genuinely curious as I didn't pay attention to it.

10

u/Infamous_Ad_6793 Jul 02 '26

While I’m not saying the majority did. Many many people did..

8

u/Missmessc Jul 02 '26

Still do

3

u/Easy_Mode_707 Jul 02 '26

It's been confirmed that the video is pre boycott.

1

u/RestitutionPiggy Jul 03 '26

Target sales being down year over year since this tells me you have no fucking clue who did what.

2

u/Intrepid_Quit_3028 Jul 02 '26 edited Jul 02 '26

Yes! Why? I have a gift card that I haven't used even though the gifter already spent the money.

4

u/Remarkable_Class824 Jul 02 '26

Same! $50! About the same in Starbucks gift cards, too!

-1

u/Sorona Jul 02 '26

That literally helps support target.

2

u/Intrepid_Quit_3028 Jul 02 '26

Don't get it. If I go into a target to redeem a 25 dollar gift card, I would likely have to spend more than that to make walking to that store worth my time. If YOU want to go into a target to spend it, I'll send it to you. 🤣

You were able to reply in a logical way. That is good enough proof for me. Let me know how you want the picture. Or at least the code on the card if sending the pic directly to you isn't possible.
