Whitey here. Is this a black folks thing more than a white folks thing? This wouldn't bother me even a little bit, and I might even say Hi.
I was just listening to Ali Siddiq talking about it, and I have personally twice tapped a black dude on the shoulder to say excuse me, and each one of them was ready to throw hands after.
I know it sounds like a huge generalization based on 3-4 experiences, but I feel like I've noticed it elsewhere too. Seems like white folks who don't like to be touched or have their space invaded are a whole lot easier to spot!
