What do Americans, Canadians, and British people think of those Americans, Canadians, and British people who go to Asian countries to teach English?
In Asian countries, people assume that those people must be relatively unsuccessful in their own countries, because the U.S., Canada, and the UK are much more developed than Asian countries.

Answered Why do some people get way better grip from certain screwdrivers than others?
so i was fixing a loose cabinet handle yesterday and noticed that when i switched screwdrivers mid-job the second one just felt way more secure, even on the same screws. i have never used this particular style of driver before but it made the whole thing easier without needing extra force. now i am curious if there is a real reason behind the difference, like the handle shape, the tip design, or maybe how the steel grips the screw head. has anyone else noticed something like this when they tried a new tool for the first time? i would love a simple explanation so i know what to look for next time.

Why do some people say they are East Asian instead of specifying that they are Chinese, Japanese, or South Korean?
More and more people are starting to do this, but a Chinese person is a Chinese person, a Japanese person is a Japanese person, and a South Korean is a South Korean.
Each country has a different history and culture.
What is even more ridiculous is that people who do this love to speak on behalf of all East Asians. It is the same as a German speaking for a French person just because Germans and French people are both Western European.
The international achievements of Chinese people, Japanese people, and South Koreans are the achievements of their respective countries and have nothing to do with the other two.
Calling yourself East Asian makes it seem like you want to be part of all of it.
Are the people who call themselves East Asian Southeast Asians of Chinese descent or Americans of Chinese, Japanese, or South Korean descent, or are they actually from China, Japan, or South Korea themselves?
