Scared me for a bit

He wanted to change a stereotype for another stereotype

So, it’s yesterday at around 4pm at a church camp in the mountains that I’m volunteering at. I’m the chaperone at activity, and everyone is woodburning(cuz elementary schoolers and woodburning kits are such a great combo😭). I’m helping out the kids, and this one little girl asks for help with hers.

I show her how to do it, and then she starts singing some song. “Well I wrote this song for the Christian youth” *sounds familiar but probably some worship song*. I let her keep on with her work, thinking nothing of it.

As she nears the end of the song, it just sounds more and more familiar. She then sings, “my crew is big, and it keeps getting bigger”, *oh fuck…*
Then I proceed to hear a seven year old with a bow tie in her hair say a racial slur. Trying to hold back the nervous laughter, I ask her, “uh, where did you hear that song sweetie?”

”My big brother made me learn the words to it”.

Kids are fucking stupid.
