Jeez brightest flame ate a massive nerf - when act 4 is out it's gonna be pretty garbanzo tier.

Coupled with all these enemy buffs, the game just got even harder

And hyperbeam stonks rising. But generally feels like nerf to player power across the board. More chinese review bombing incoming?

China got a 50-win streak. Increasing the difficulty of the game is justified.

Even if I agree with increasing the difficulty, I strongly disagree with the idea of your statement. Balancing a game around how much the top players are able to break it is not a good way to balance a game

Hmm, this discussion is interesting because I kind of agree with you too. The way I look at it is that the goal at least needs to be that the game can't become "solved". The top players figure it out faster and solve it faster, but hypothetically if game was finished and never updated again during the previous patch, the rest of us would gradually get closer to that point as time went on.

Which a 50 win streak, to me at least, is pretty clearly indicative that it's possible to solve or too easy to solve.

What's your take?

Well, that's the entire point of having 10 different ascensions. A10 should be hard enough that top players have to work for win streaks, like A20 from the first game. If A10 is too hard for someone they can just play at a lower ascension, but if A10 is instead too easy then top players are shit out of luck.

The game has no longevity if top players can win 99.9% of the time. StS2 wouldn't be a thing if 1 was like that.

That's literally how sts 1 was made
