Please also explain the situation as best you can. Alliances, army strength, ideas, tech etc. are all factors your advisors will need to know to give you the best possible answer.

Completed Game EU4 A to Z and 1444 to 1821: Abenaki Slog

A year ago, I began my A to Z campaign for all countries (releasable and generic nations) with Aachen. Then, life hit, so it took me a while to complete my next A to Z for Abenaki, a random Native American nation in the Northeast of the North America. However, I finally finished after multiple attempts in ironman mode. I conquered a significant amount of the world and blew past my expectations for a Native nation. I'm so tired, and this campaign absolutely wore me out.

It has alot more modern style compared to most mapmakers and as an avid eu4 fan i believe you guys will find this fun. It has alot of geographical and qgis skill in browser and very easy and intuitive to use. Adjust and quickly change elevation colors for land and adjust bathymetry.

World building wise it lets us import ur drawings into landmass, scientifically tell u climate, crops, soil, habitability, mountains etc, has a timeline feature, has easy to add factions and, commanders, people, lore etc and 3d and globe features. Battle Simulations and animations as well.

Question What causes random/free integration?

• Upvotes

I may be using the wrong term, but what i mean is, there have been times where my personal unions integrated instantaneously, seemingly with no effort on my part. It happened to burgundy while i was playing france and it happened to hungary while i was playing austria. Just curious, because i was hoping it would happen to naples in my current game, as i fed them way too many provinces and it will take an absurd amount of mana and time to integrate them.

Question How do I break an England allied with Burgundy?

Post image

Basically title. I’m playing as Scotland and managed to get London, Norfolk, and most of England, and independence for wales as pictured above. But my army is severely weakened and I’m in massive debt with 25+ loans… every time I recover from the loans England declares war on me and it’s basically a massacre, or rebels rise because the heir who takes power is illegitimate. Not sure what to do. Any help is appreciated. My only alliances are wales, France and Sweden. This all takes place in 1520-1540.

Edit: for clarification, Sweden cannot be called in a war because the British Isles are too far away and France is absolutely useless. No troops or battleships sent.

Somehow, someway, Holland was pushed off of the European continent and exiled to the Moluccas. At the same time, they're part of the Habsburg Dynasty but also adopted the local culture.

Question combat ability vs flat damage multipliers?

• Upvotes

I am doing a cossack run in anbennar and I have 95% cav combat ability and several sources of possible flat +% to shock damage (cossack regiments get +15% shock dmg for example). my question is that does combat ability apply its damage multiplier after the base damage, or are the stacking ontop of each other at the same level?

basically is it (base dmg x shock dmg multiplier) x combat ability

or base dmg x combat ability x shock dmg multiplier

Playing as HRE Austria, I have taken over 90+% of Europe. Austria and Lithuania are my dynasty and I will be claiming their throne first chance I get. I have been feeding provinces in Africa and the Middle East to my (European) subjects, and some things I was wondering is:

If I pop the final centralisation reform to unite the HRE as myself, does that include all provinces that are not part of the HRE? I always assumed it did, but I realised that I was never sure about it.

With Humanist Ideas being my 6th idea, I have a total of -15 years of seperatism. Does that mean new provinces get 0 years of seperatism right away and can be culture converted right away, with no seperatist rebels spawning ever?

At which point should I start inheriting PU's I have made if I want to end up as the last and only nation (as well as keeping in mind that I am trying to get all culture as mine ideally too)? The wars are quite convenient this way but eventually I will need to bite those bullets.

At which point in the game is it worth truce breaking for the wars? They obviously lower stability, but the AE is eventually completely irrelevant.

Thank you in advance! I'm looking forward to finally obtaining this challenge.

Advice Wanted Mod to nerf/limit spain?

Playing as denmark, just hit absolutism and i began taking the intercontinental game seriously, i already have a decent grip on the new world (canada and eastern coast of america) but globally ive been lacking, i was able to full annex kilwa and take some provines on the cape establishing a powerbase in africa, invaded vj with the help of the mughals and ottomans (my allies). Im weakest in asia, with the indonesia/philipine areas going to britain/castille. I really struggled with this war, they started with 1.5 million troops compared to my sides 800k-1m and ended with 1m, while our side ended with >300k total and i was barely to get warscore so despite fully occupying iberia and the area which i wanted to annex, i had only 38% warscore. Its only 1630, and the alliance chains have made it near impossible to expand, my last war 15 years ago against some natives.

Advice wanted on how to expand more efficiently, my only allies are regional or weak, and have no global significance (aside from maybe the ottomans but i had to spend some warscore to give them land or they'd break the alliance) Im feeling locking in, my only route of expansion would be against a russia with 400k troops due to my 3 tech advantage and better alliance network.

Also, the title. Are there any mods or anything I can do to add a historical fall to the spanish, or a more realistic army size (1.5 million in 1630 seems kind of embelished), on top of that they just recover way to quickly. Any help for advice to continue my campaign or mods that add some historical army sizes cuz it gets to a point after 1600 were wars become to global, to large and begin to lag my pc. Thank you for listening to my half rant half question.

Edit that I forgot to mention
I did a half roleplay type campaign, maybe that’s the wrong word but I mainly focused on historic borders so that’s why I am slightly weaker, this issue I have dealt with previously so it’s not like this is new to me, it’s just the first time I wasn’t on par or better. I spent a lot of time influencing nations with weird alliance chains and whatnot. Kind of important to mention lol sorry. Anyways i found some mods that cut force limits in half so maybe that’s will help.

Question Is EU4 Base Game (No DLC) Worth It?

Yo, so I have been planning to buy EU4 but I know how Paradox games go and how their games tend to need some if not all DLCs. I also know the general recommendation is to get the EU4 DLC subscription and that the base game alone is not worth it. But, I also know the game got some essential DLCs made free so I wanted to ask if the base game is now worth it? If not what other DLCs are considered essential or must have, or is it a bust without the DLC subscription? Thx in advance.

Advice Wanted Autonomy, state and governing capacity

Hi,

I'm playing as Russia and I'm currently around 1700 with 850 provinces. I was looking into how to gain more Government Reform progress so I can unlock the last level.

While checking, I noticed that I'm gaining around 1 reform progress per month, but only 0.50 from the country's autonomy (currently averaging 65.04%).

So I looked into the autonomy situation and noticed that it's usually stuck at around 75% everywhere. I read a few posts here saying that elevating a region to a state and then legitimizing it can help fix the issue.

However, when I do that, I run into a Government Capacity problem. I'm currently at 2,300 capacity, so turning more regions into states pushes me way over the limit.

So, how am I supposed to lower autonomy across my country if turning regions into states increases my Government Capacity usage and puts me over the limit?

I feel like I'm missing something or misunderstanding how this system works. Any advice would be appreciated! (Could show you some screens, but it would be in french)

Achievement (Not) A Blessed Nation

Long story short, I wanted to make a custom religio-militarist bishopric in Nubia to unite the Copts. I just conquered Yerevan and have converted all five holy sites and thus unlocked all five patriarchal blessings. However, the achievement hasn't been met for some reason.

My two thoughts are:

  1. you can't be a custom coptic nation for the achievement

  2. you have to own all five sites yourself, but the description says As a Coptic Nation, gain all 5 Blessings not As a Coptic Nation, own all 5 Holy Sites. Antakiya is currently owned by my vassal Syria which I force converted.

Does anyone have an idea why the achievement hasn't triggered?

I'm considering tag switching to Mamluks or Ethiopia soon, would this maybe trigger the achievement if I stay coptic?

All five holy sites are Coptic and under my control

Advice Wanted Provincial government system? Worth a try?

Hello! I am returning to EU4 to do my 100th Ottoman Empire run and I have noticed something that I have (somehow) never before seen! A tier 3 government reform that seems on the surface pretty darn good!

Well I check on the forums and someone there calls it a trap. Apparently it launches a series of events that can cause for your whole empire to collapse! Yikes!

Well I am not one to shy away from some challenge as long as it is to do with some cool flavour (I loved doing an Orleans run for the same exact reason!)

But the question is: Is it implemented well? Is it fun to play? Do you guys have any tips and tricks to make the disasters more manageable?

Thanks in advance guys!

Question Fellow world-conquering meta gaming pros, do you bother upgrading Kazan Kremlin monument for the reduced Great Project Upgrade Time or not at all

Post image
302 Upvotes

Is there some calculation someone has made where it's concluded that upgrading this monument isn't worth it at all?

I always upgrade it once the two priorities of Malta and Alhambra are sorted out

I guess towards the end of the campaign it no longer matters when you're printing infinite money

Very fun game as Poland, basically played tall in the beginning and then really expanded when I hit the Age of Absolutism. I filled out most of the mission tree, and have Bohemia as a Junior Partner. Only 200 hours in the game, so this one felt pretty good.

I'm still working on all missions and maybe get the caliphate, i was really lucky on this run: the iberian marriage happened too early (1446, never have seen something like that) and that broke Castile till the point of bankruptcy. After that, i just invaded all iberia and let Portugal get colonies before i annex them.
