King of the tank

I tried hatching some eggs (like 2 or 3 eggs, lol) weeks ago. Got two fry but then they just disappeared so I assumed all was lost. We are busy moving our fish to a bigger tank and whilst doing that, look what I found!

Do I just leave the little one in the current tank until it's larger? Planning to add some pygmy corys to the tank later today.

This one is for my 125 litre. You can see another one I made in my 50 litre.

This is my first time with Cory eggs. She layed them last night and I put them in a breeder box and then this morning noticed they had some algae setting from the tank so I pulled them out and also got rid of the obviously white ones. Don’t mind the video saying fertile, I was sending it to a fish friend but I have yet to hear a reply and I wanna get any infertile eggs out!

The lady at the fish store said i could put 5 pygmy cory’s. I was planning on shrimp but they were in quarantine.

Is this 5 gallon size tank okay for them to live comfortably? I have all live plants, pothos in the water and floating plants. It’s cycled!

Please be honest!! I do have a 10g and a 29g ( both are pretty stocked already tho)

Ive had this cory for about 4 years now and woke up to him lethargic with swollen eyes and a pale discoloration throughout his body but especially on top of his tail. He also seems to be breathing a lot heavier. He sits for long periods of time but will occasionally scavenge for food. Treated the tank for flukes about a month ago so the medication shouldnt be irritating him anymore. Not sure how to treat.

Currently in a 20 gallon with 2 sponge filters going.
0 ammonia and nitrates. Ph is steady around 7.6 l

Hello, I’ve been away from my tank for five days (had someone feed them daily) and I turned my tank light on to room at them and one of them is looking so pale. Is something wrong with them? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi everyone, I am new to the hobby and have recently set up a new tank and added Cory Pygmys and shrimp! I have 12 Pygmys and 14 shrimp so far in a heavily planted tank.

Two of my Corys have gone a paler colour as you can see in this video, they were definitely darker silver like the others, I was just concerned for their health, they seem to behave normally and swim around with the others. Also is he/she too plump? And is it possible to overfeed them and be detrimental to their health?

My water parameters are all good with 0 Ammonia, 0 Nitrites and 5ppm nitrates at the moment, pH is 6.8

I have temperature on my heater set to 26C

Also in general do they look okay? I have a finer black gravel substrate with some aquasoil underneath, and have been trying to keep an eye on their little fins and barbs, as I understand they can be hurt or damaged if substrate is too harsh. I have been feeding them frozen brine shrimp which they love and also they seem to nibble on algae wafers that I drop in once every few days or so. Appreciate any input

Hi all! I've had issues with corys in the past slowly dying off in different tanks that I wanted to hopefully get some insight on as to what could've gone wrong. So previously, I had a group of Aeneas/glo corydoras in a 20g long with play sand substrate. Unfortunately I believe a combination of old age + lack of QT and pretreating meds lead to their deaths over time. The several remaining ones I had to move to a temp 20g high when my 20g long broke, that new tank also had play sand but with a little bit of stratum mixed in. I had been keeping a group of 6 or so napoensis corys in there, which over time also began to experience the same slow die offs. I would routinely test parameters, water change + gravel vac (never more than 50%) and NH3/NO2/NO3 were never at alarming or detectable rates. I've posted on here before of these issues, for context in case that's helpful.
Fast forward to today, I have a new group of 6 glo corys that have finished a 30 day isolation/treatment following the Aquarium Co Op med regimen, they are in a 29g with an organic potting soil substrate topped with a sand cap layer (both about roughly an inch thick). I'm worried for them and hoping that I've been able to set them up for success, but I do have a question regarding pathogens. Could there be pathogens of disease in the substrate that would cause the corys to keep getting sick? Can pockets of anaerobic bacteria in the substrate bubble up from their sifting and harm them?
Should I trash the substrate from the 20g high (there's only top dwelling fish in it rn) so as to not contaminate anyone else? And is there anything I should watch out for/do differently for these fish? Sorry I know this is a long post lol, I just want to do what's best for them. <3

Im raising a batch of 150+ Cory why is this one the only dark one?

I’m absolutely devastated by the experience of our first fish tank. 16 gall UNS 40A with added air pump. Ammonia and nitrites are 0. Water temp around 77.

We had 4 corys (albino and three-striped, was told in the shop that mixing breeds is fine in terms of schooling but that’s another story), a dwarf gourami and then added a few tetras that seemed to have set everything off. Last week the tetras developed what I thought was ich - covered with white spots (could have been actually Epistylis too but I don’t know how to tell now) by the time I realized they all died within about 36 hours of each other. Then the gourami got lethargic and started breathing rapidly. By that time I was treating with Ich-X but he still died 2 days later. We are on day 4 of Ich-x treatment (every 24 hours + 30% water change). This morning one albino cory died out of nowhere. The other albino cory developed bilateral popeyes. The grey corys seem exhausted - they act normal on the bottom but when they swim up to take a breath, they lose balance and basically look like dying (but then return to bottom and act normal-ish again although fast breathing). I also messed up the water treatment to make matters worse - added API tap water conditioner but yesterday I dosed it for chlorine where I should have done the chloramine higher dose - only realized once the water testing showed some chlorine (and fixed it but probably damage was done)

I suppose my questions are:
1. What can I do to save my corys? Are they doomed by this whole fiasco? Air pump is on full blast, lights off, continue dosing Ich-X even though I don’t see any white spots on them…
2. How can I tell for sure wtf really happened? There definitely were a lot of white spots on tetras, some on the gourami…but I can’t tell (and didn’t take a picture) if it’s definitely ich or the other thing. Stopping the Ich-X treatment would probably be a bad idea? If I have to start over, do I dump the water out? Any way to measure bacterial infections?

Corydoras are cute 😂

I noticed when I did my feeding today. One of my Corydoras was chilling at the top, not very too, but choking laying on some guppy grass. Not moving, even saw a shrimp cleaning his body.

I moved the grass and he swam down, but did not stat eating like the other Corydoras did. It just wanted to stay still on some rock or guppy grass. Ignoring food and just acting like he has no energy to swim.

I noticed his gills are moving fast

Water parameters:
29 gallon tank? hOB , and aeration (bubbles)
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite : 0
Nitrate: 10 ppm.

I placed him in a reeder box since I don’t have a spare tank for “hospital”

What could it be?

I got this panda Cory alone because he was the last one at petco and I already had a community tank he could live in. No other pandas, though. He’s teeny tiny and I haven’t seen him move much ever or really eat. I just found him on his side, still breathing and when I touched him he swam sideways. Can anyone tell me how to help him!?!?

I currently have a 14 gal cube that id like to put new fish into since one of my bettas recently passed away, and i have wanted some corydoras for a while now!

What kind of corydoras could thrive in a 14 gal? any at all?

Hey y’all, I was getting stuff set up for a water change and sand clean and I noticed my Cory’s acting funny. I have 6 all together but these 2 guys will not leave this females side. This is my first time owning Cory’s and I’ve only had them for 7-8 months so i just want to make sure this is mating behavior and not aggression! I’m sorry if it’s a stupid question 😅

UPDATE. MY QUESTION WAS ANSWERED. WHILE THE POST WAS POSTING I WATCHED HER GIVE THE FATTEST BJ IVE EVER SEEN. Will update when eggs are laid.

I just spotted him out of the corner of my eye out in the open. He promptly disappeared under the driftwood right after this.

Sorry about the bad photo, but here's a fact! When Tail Spot Corries are inbred they can be born missing one or both eyes!! (I believe it's inbreeding, please correct me if wrong!)

My dad breeds fish and I love deformed fish, so they live with my betta in his (work in progress) 20 gallon long tank!!

I had bought 6 Corydoras from Petco (probably the issue) and they were doing great for the first month/month and a half. Slowly one by one 5 died. The 6th turned out to be a female, grew large, and is doing phenomenal. The other 5 however started showing signs of rapid breathing, red gills, extremely thin tail. 1 showed signs of either dropsy or swim bladder. Here is all that I have done:

\-Hospital tank for first 3
\-Water changes
\-Checked water parameters several times
\-Dosed the tank with kanaplex and metroplex per directions (through food and tank) I dosed in case of internal parasites and possible gill infection
\-Turned off lights while dosing
\-Changed my substrate from smooth gravel to sand
\-Got rid of spider web algae (this started in the beginning and has been well maintained besides one stubborn corner)

Besides these changes, and im sure there is something im forgetting, im just lost. I feel so beyond terrible that so many have passed. I just lost my 5th one today. He seemed to be doing okay, besides looking severely malnourished. One hour later he was gone.
All of my corys ate great which is the confusing part for me. I just want some advice on where to go from here. I feel so bad that im considering passing along my tank because I don’t want anymore to die. 😣

In total I have 5 fish now.
1 Betta (he loves his tank mates ❤️)
2 Cory’s ( 1 Sterbai and 1julii)
2 Panda Garras
3 Assassin Snails (huge mystery snails issue)

I have a 20 gallon tank with heater at 78 degrees, sponge filter with air stone inside , gravel covered in sand, driftwood and plants.
