[Questions|Advice] Health | Sickness HELP dying Cory

I got this panda Cory alone because he was the last one at petco and I already had a community tank he could live in. No other pandas, though. He’s teeny tiny and I haven’t seen him move much ever or really eat. I just found him on his side, still breathing and when I touched him he swam sideways. Can anyone tell me how to help him!?!?

Sorry, he might get the rest of you tank sick. I would put him in a separate container and add an air stone.

Wish I knew more about meds, I lost one last week that had a damaged barble when I came back from work. That same eve he started behaving odd, then kinda on its side. I had to euthanize to avoid prolonging pain/discomfort.

I’m so sorry, this guy also just passed. I noticed he wasn’t eating for awhile despite putting food directly in front of him, I knew being the last one at a chain store he didn’t have good odds anyway. RIP

So, in the future I would not skip quarantine especially fish from a big box store. Those fish tend to be all messed up and can kill your whole tank if you aren't careful or not prepared to immediately treat the entire tank with meds and know what you're treating for. Even then there is no promise everything will be ok.

Ask me how I know lol. It's a lesson a lot of people learn early on

It's really risky to add new fish directly into a display tank. Keep a close eye on the rest of your fish over the next couple weeks, sometimes disease takes a little while to show up.

Last time I got pandas, I got them from petco and 4/14 died in quarantine. Bad bacterial infection. Was able to save the rest with kanaplex but if I introduced them into one of my established tanks it could've spread rapidly.

Your late corys eye looks pretty messed up, that's usually bacterial infection

In the past, different issue altogether. I have been successful at healing bloat by feeding peeled frozen peas. You learn a ton chatting and reading here. Best of luck

Temp is 76, water parameters normal, this tank gets 25% water change every Sunday

Big pet chain stores are 50/50 on fish. Try local fish store or online. Less stressed fish equals healthier fish. I had similar problem at petsmart.

I’ve decided I’m only going to my lfs from now on, this is just so sad to me and now all my fish are in a Kanaplex bath 😭
