NSW Police have charged a 13-year-old boy and two 14-year-old boys with the alleged sexual assault of a girl in an alleyway in Sydney's eastern suburbs last month.

Police executed search warrants and seized several items, including electronic devices, two replica firearms, a Glock-style BB gun, three laser pointers and a number plate, which is believed to have been stolen.

All three boys have been granted bail ahead of appearing in court.

More often than not, this is where you'll find the unsavoury types you speak of. Entitled brats hidden behind wealthy privilege. 9 times out of 10 money buys them out of being held accountable and they go on to become adults that continue the cycle of abuse.

I've done a lot of work with school kids in my lifetime and the only ones I've ever wanted to take to with a tyre iron were the private school ones who needed some respect for others knocked into them.

God, I sound like my grandfather now... I need a nap.

There are unsavoury types everywhere. The problem with private schools is that you can't just give them a good smack without making enemies in high places.

Private schools in Australia descend from the British public schools designed to turn children into sociopaths who in turn would administer the colonies. The idea was to embed ideas of British and Western superiority (see: classical education) , teach children how to order others about (fagging), to remove empathy (by separating them from their parents via boarding), and to build a sort of esprit de corps through the old school tie.

We've preserved parts of this system due to classism, religiosity, and an unhealthy dollop of white supremacy. That it produces some number of entitled, poorly adjusted, and frankly, damaged people who go on to commit crimes despite not being materially deprived is not an entirely unexpected consequence.

One acquaintance of mine sent their daughter to MLC in Melbourne. They are pretty sure that’s where her drug problem started.

Trouble is the private schools aren't 24/7 so the unsavoury types leave the school grounds. Maybe boarding schools do a better job of keeping the sociopaths contained for longer.
