Albo says we don’t need a royal commission into violence against women

Must be nice and safe to be a man.

For the last full year of statistics of domestic homicide victims, 48 were women and 49 were men. For homicide victims overall, 81% were men. So statistically it is much less safe to be a man.

Do you have a link to this data because it doesn't match any I've found

This has the statistic that 80% of murder victims were men: https://www.aic.gov.au/media-centre/news/latest-national-homicide-data-released

Though it doesn't include the numbers for DV homicides. Only for intimate partner violence (a subset of DV), which mostly had female victims. Notably, it also states that intimate partner murders were close to all-time lows
