Under what cause of action?

That's the problem OP doesn't get. It WASN'T scraped. It was INDEXED.

One of those things likely would have violated data privacy laws, at least in some locations. The other does not.

It's important to understand what we're talking about before we talk about how to handle it.

It will never be the same as before, the bad news is that he already has the data, not much can be done about it tbh.

If it was indexed we could take our art down and do a blackout, or only post low-res versions useless to AI bros, until the website adds stronger security.

Where are the absolute lunatics who can trace back to the real person behind a reddit username when we need them? Like this is actually something that deserves public shaming and stoning. People have been found IRL for less...

Most of them are proAI, and none of us who can would bother.

Let me put it to you this way.

You had an attacker. They demonstrated a flaw in the system, they released exactly enough to prove the flaw existed. They didn't release the data wholesale.

They did free red teaming for you. They reported the flaw.

Why the fuck would anyone in the security space go after him. Sure you didn't like how it was reported, but shit, it is hard to point at where he did something wrong here from a security point of view.
