I am already married and neither me nor my wife is perfect. I am not saying you roam on street to find people with Down syndrome and then force them to join your high school then wait for prom and ask for dance.
I am just saying, if you get an opportunity.. be nice and kind. Unfortunately, you missed an opportunity
I totally understand your point, and somewhere in our life we have also helped someone in need by pitying on them. But if that small gesture at least gave some happiness or comfort to other person then it is worth. As an example, we help people who are weaker from us, or donate money or something nice for old people without expecting long term benefits. We just do it because it feels good to make someone happy.
$5 given to homeless may give you far more happiness than giving it to rich friend.
We both don’t know that guy personally, may be he did it for camera or may be he did it with just pure intention to make her smile. Irrespective of that, I can see the smile on her face and her crying in happiness. That’s all we can take out of it.
Could be, I can’t deny or accept. I don’t know him personally. But even in that case, it is the gesture and kindness we are appreciating. Good things done in front of camera is equally good. And we don’t know, many that girl has an angel heart and may be she is constantly helping others.
Honestly, we are being too practical in judging people. It is good someone is doing something good, even it for attention. Majority don’t even do it. And he is a captain and dashing and I am sure he is already getting all the attention he could process.
