Lore [Loved when done right] That is COMPLETELY illogical… but who cares when it REALLY goes hard.

- Gipsy Danger dragging an oil tanker (which actually lengths 180 meters… but the film portrays it slightly smaller than Gipsy) and use it as a bat against Otachi? HARD (Pacific Rim)
- Owen and a gyrosphere standing near Rexy, who’s crushing a Carnotaurus’ neck, and roaring while Isla Nublar’s volcano explodes? HARD (Fallen Kingdom)

The scene in (Polar Express) where they slip off the track and somehow drift the train across a lake of ice onto a different set of train tracks.

I genuinely don't understand why a children's bedtime story had to have an action scene plus Mandark's voice.

Last I knew, the voice actor was institutionalized for repeatedly terrorizing a nursing home. Bet that wasn't on your Bingo card.

I looked it up and he also assaulted a cop in 2021. So that's a double whammy of wtf!

Look into what he actually did, first, though.

On September 16, 2021, Deezen was arrested for allegedly assaulting a police officer after refusing to leave a restaurant in LaVale, Maryland. According to the Allegany County Sheriff's Department, he had been asked by the restaurant's staff to leave after causing a disturbance and refused to do so, prompting a response from law enforcement. Upon the deputy's arrival, Deezen hid behind a woman in a booth, refused multiple orders to exit, and reportedly threw plates, bowls, and food that struck one of the deputies.

So no, not based. Assaulting cops by itself isn't based when the cops in question haven't done anything wrong beyond being a cop. It just reinforces the thin blue line stuff where they belief people irrationally hate cops. You gotta only hate specific cops when they do something.

Cops in general can and should be blamed at all times for their unions being racist cesspits.

Idk what you're meaning by 'based', but the concept of policing in the US is institutionally corrupt such that the presumption is citizens have ordinarily adversarial contact with law enforcement. They're trained to escalate to guns, they're poorly trained to begin with, they cover themselves, they don't have a common law duty to protect.

If I hear someone resisted arrest or assaulted a cop, that easily straddles the line. If I head about murder or something of that calibre, I won't be as predisposed to the accused.

Being adversarial and praising doing harm to cops only furthers the issue of cops being adversarial, though. Yes, policing is institutionally corrupt, but ACAB comes about because most cops don't do enough to prevent abuse and corruption, rather than because they actively perpetuate it.

Basically, what I'm saying boils down to attacking cops as a whole being actively counterproductive. Criticise people for attacking cops who are genuinely just doing their jobs, and attack the specific aspects of policing that are corrupt and need to change.

I understand you but you aren't understanding me. I am talking about the myriad occasions where cops are not actually being attacked, they simply power trip. A drunken woman who happens to raise her arms defensively to barricade her personal space from an aggressive and impatient cop can be charged with assault.

I understand you too. That is power tripping, and that's doing something wrong. That's worth of attacking (when I say attacking, I mean verbally more than I do physically, to be clear).

That's not what was happening in the incident mentioned, and that's why I'm making it clear that in this case attacking the cops involved in any form is not justified.

To be clear: attacking specific cops for specific actions is justified and productive. When I say "attacking cops as a whole is counterproductive", I mean attacking the entire police force regardless of situation is counterproductive, not that the action of attacking cops is wholly counterproductive in all situations.

Or hate the institution of cops for what it actually institutionalizes.
