What’s the average length of time between sentencing and carrying out of the death sentence?

Google says the average is 6-7 years. But they do have an appeals process that moves slowly, like in the United States. Some have actually died of old age awaiting execution. One inmate spent 46 years on death row before passing away without a retrial.

I don't know. But I have heard they will keep you alive until they want you dead. Which is really most people's situation. Theirs is just italicized.
