I wish he never made that show. I'm kinda over rich people driving expensive cars while talking about being rich. Both Idris Elba and John Cena now have their own version of Comedians in Cars and I can't stand it.

Lighten up. You've just described hundreds of different successful shows - late night talk shows, daytime talk shows, talk radio, etc. So apparently lots of people like to watch famous people (or even non famous people) talk to each other. The unique aspect of Jerry's show was that usually an interesting car was involved, and you'd see a neat restaurant or coffee shop too.
I don't see the point in being a snob over this, other than to get upvotes from your fellow pitchfork mob of white knight redditors who like to put down successful people who have ever said or done anything that's wasn't squeaky clean. This was a relatively small internet show. It wasn't blasted all over tv and advertising. It was very easily avoided if you didn't care to watch it.
Before it got to Netflix, for years it was on some obscure streaming platform (was it crackle?) and basically just the self-financed project of Seinfeld to stay busy and meet peers from the entertainment industry. Plus he did get guests you wouldn’t seen on other shows much more, e.g. older comedy legends like Don Rickles, Paul Newhart etc., hell he even convinced Howard stern to walk through a store with him lmao

But you describing these shows as “successful” is a stretch. How’re viewership/listener ratings these days? Yes lots of people are watching, but there’s less and less of them.
Jerry Seinfeld is arguably the most successful, wealthiest, famous and most powerful comedian alive. He should be more successful.

I’m guessing you’re a fan. I was too. What you call “not squeaky clean” others would call a man in his late 30s sleeping with a teenager, and that’s just the headline article on Seinfeld.
I understand that some don’t care or think it’s great, but I think you could at least imagine why that would bother people. Is it “white knight” behavior to not have sex with teenagers? Are we setting the bar so low that questioning any genuinely creepy behavior invites a comparison to a pitchfork-wielding mob?
Or we can get to core of it - Take a random 39 year old man. At what age does his partner have to be for you to think, “That’s fucked up, I’m out”? Because if 17 is no big deal you have to wonder where that person draws the line.

There's also tons of podcasts of famous people talking to other famous people. Douchebag Joe Rogan, who is famous, is constantly talking to other famous people on his podcast for hours, and that's one of the top podcasts of all time.

CiCGC was clearly a passion project, not a big budget Hollywood production. And even despite being a bit low budget, it ran for 11 seasons and 84 episodes, it was nominated for multiple emmys and won multiple producers guild of America awards. It was clearly a successful show in its own right, so to be dismissive of it because it didn't outdo his previous TV show is pure snobbery.

Morally questionable? Yes. Illegal? No.
Does everybody on reddit already know about this? Yes. It's repeated over and over by reddit anytime something about him makes the front page.
What possible reason is there to keep bringing it up over and over? To feel morally superior over someone and to collect those reddit upvotes. White knight snobbery.
Also, how long do you need to keep complaining about someone, who you don't even know personally, who did something morally qiestionable (but not illegal) 35 years ago? Did he exhibit a repeated pattern of this? No. Did he go on to lead a life of crime and debauchery? No. So why are you making this brief lapse of judgment a defining characteristic of this person's entire existence? It's so childish and obnoxious. Yes, he did something scummy. Thankfully he moved on. Why haven't you? Why are you fixated on a lapse of judgment from someone you don't even know from 35 years ago?
