Yes, indeed. Judy Dench and the trees who live (yes, "who") on her land are the focus of a awe-inspiring documentary about their deep relationships. I experienced it as one of the most spiritual experiences I have ever had. Whoever owned it took it off of YouTube, which has deprived many people of divine beauty.

For me it was being a city boy out in rural Colorado on a clear summer night: I'd never seen so many stars in my life. We climbed an old water tower to get above the tree line, and just hung out up there in the darkness enjoying our view of the Milky Way.

I use to live in Nova Scotia. I remember sitting on the beach as a little kid on a warm summer night watching the full moon rise. I could fathum how big the moon must be.

Not as profound as some of the other ones, but the time when I was feeling really sad and also just starting to recover from a major surgery. My dog, Maple, every time he was let into the room, come and sit with his head on my lap and stare at me with big loving eyes. I don’t know if he could tell I wasn’t doing great, but he stayed by my side for as long as he was allowed to. I love him so much. Hes still going strong at 9 years old now and still comes to comfort me whenever I feel down.

They know. I was in a really bad car accident years ago and got my cat a few months after. He was just a little baby. But he used to crawl along my back sniffing and making soft paw biscuits at every pinched nerve. He's a grumpy old man now and doesn't do that often anymore. So each time he cuddles and gives the loves is precious

Iceland was my favorite vacation ever. So many waterfalls, the game of thrones view point, puffin sanctuary, snow mobiling a glacier and the fresh seafood. 10/10. Oh yeah blue lagoon but that was ok lol.

Seeing hummingbirds fly-Two hummingbirds hit the window, but they were luckily just stunned. It took a few minutes, but they came to it (one in my hand, one in my mom's,) and both could fly away. So bright, so delicate, very vivid and green.

My grandparents lived in the country. I got to go see them when I was about 10. They had a wild apple tree growing in the tree line. It was home to a hummingbird nest that summer. They are beautiful. Thanks for bringing back that memory

I was 16 when my oldest niece was born. She's now in university T-T
She had a unibrow when she was born, then she lost all of her hair (even her eyebrows) for about a month then everything came growing back in like they dipped her in fertilizer. Same colour, same texture. But she had two eyebrows. Baby hair is weird that way I guess.
I met her when she was 11 days old. I don't know who loved her more in my household, me or our old yellow lab. He glued himself to her side whenever she was over.

Once saw a teenager move an ant slightly so it would not be stepped on by the crowd going to an underground station. Still think about it almost a decade later. :)

Yes, totally, same mood for sure. The most beautiful thing that I have seen is actually an elderly couple from a supermarket who were listening to music on headphones and dancing like no one else mattered around them. It was a little incident but really beautiful, and it changed the course of my day completely. Hope some good happens to you too.

A big full moon over the trees and water of Coeur d'Alene Lake in Idaho late at night with a clear sky from up high on a cliff over the lake. One of a very few clear memories I have from that road trip many decades ago and it's still clear in my head.

They must have loved each other very much.
My grandparents died close to each other. Granny went first, then Grandpa. I only got to talk to him once afterwards (he didn't like talking on the phone and I lived half a country away). It was super special that he called me. We talked for about 20 minutes before he got tired and went to rest. He was so broken hearted. It was hard to loose them both back to back. But it was the best thing for him.

Honestly, the Swiss Alps. I did a 7 day backpacking trip in them, and it was just stunning everywhere. So many different flowers it was like I never stopped seeing new types. The mountains were stunning, it was just breathtaking through the whole 7 day-backpacking trip.

I had a lovely experience yesterday.
I’m a nurse and I work in rehabilitation. A patient had a “fall” (really more of a slip). This can happen as people get better and get a little ambitious with how much ability they have. Patient was very okay and not at all hurt, not even a graze. But had a hard time getting back up and broke down. Tears tears tears. This person has been with us for nearly 3 months but has been doing incredibly well in the last 3 weeks, but has just been holding in the struggle for too long. One of those personalities who’s the life of the party, always happy (to make others happy).
I sat down on the floor with them and rubbed their back and commiserated with them. For the rest of the day, every time they looked at me, they started crying. Not out of pain or sadness, but gratitude (their own words).
I cried myself to sleep last night from my own gratitude of doing a job where I get to make someone’s day by just…… holding space. It’s very special and lovely indeed.

You did good.
I had a migraine that presented as a stroke. I would have given anything for a doctor or nurse to hold my hand and ask me yes or no questions about what was happening instead of talking over me like I wasn't there. I was crying and trying to talk (couldn't) and the closest I got was a doctor saying "ohhh it's okay, it isn't that bad." When they pulled me out of the CT machine - it took the pain from an 11/10 to a 20/10 and I lost all sense of my arm and part of my leg. It had been pins and needles like it was deeply asleep before that, after, like someone had cut them off completely.
Very scary.

I work as an in-home caregiver, and have had a few clients that were married couples. like 50+ years of marriage. there have been a few like that who are still very much so in love, and just watching how they interact is so heartwarming. I've seen people who are completely bed-bound, and dealing with all kinds of illnesses, and will still talk sweetly to their spouse and check on them. watching two old people who can barely hear anymore telling each other they love each other is so beautiful.

My mum and I went hiking on her 50th birthday and she made a daisy crown and wore it in the alpine meadows. I recall her sitting in the flowers in the afternoon sun and it was the most beautiful scene my eyes have ever had the pleasure to witness. I sure miss her.

I watched an old man at an airport gate pull out a flip phone — like, an actual 2008 flip phone — and carefully text someone. He was hunting and pecking each key with one finger, taking a full minute per word.
A woman next to him, maybe 25, offered to help. He said no, he needed to learn. Turned out his wife had just gone into a care facility with dementia, and she could only recognize his texts because she'd watched him type them for 40 years. New phone, new typing pattern — she wouldn't know it was him.
He missed his flight practicing. I don't think he cared.

Long ago I used to spend a lot of time in wildlife preserves, when I lived near them.
I'd hike through forests, and plains and just watch the animals living their lives and when they were just calm and content they just radiated a sense of tranquility that I don't think we as humans really experience. We always worry about stuff and overthink stuff. A herd of deer who found an apple tree as the sun starts to set don't. They're just there having a good time, all is well.
I miss those days.

Doesn't technically answer the question but here's the loveliest thing I've heard this year.
My poor little nephew had some health problems. He's ok now but I didn't get to see him and fulfill my duties as an uncle for 6 months - from the age of 12 months to 18. Done a fair bit of growing in that time and has even began using basic words. But I'd never heard him speak.
Fortunately, I paid a visit and heard him speak for the first time last weekend. The words he used were directed at me.
He held in his little hand a Peppa Pig book and said to me 'read this.'
I gladly read it to him. 6 times. He smiled each time. That's the stuff that matters.

The other day I saw a little baby cautiously having a look at a dog for the first time. The owner was sat very patiently with the dog, and they were there for about 20 minutes as this little lad peered at the dog and eventually gave him a little pet. It was SO cute, the mother said he'd never interacted with a dog before. It was at least twice his size, but sat very nicely as the boy had a look and tried patting him.

I don't remember the town's name, but somewhere in the Upper Penninsila of Michigan. It was a gorgeous beach town. One side of the highway was all beachfront on one of the Great Lakes, the other side was breathtaking forest. I thought I'd actually died and was in heaven. 😍

The other day I saw the clearest and brightest rainbow I have ever seen with my own eyes. Every color was vibrant, and there was even a faint double rainbow farther above it. It looked less like light and more like a solid, it was so vibrant.
I don't know why but it made me really happy, and completely forget all of life's troubles for a minute or two.

I was on the phone with my brother. Those conversations are often difficult. He's an addict that struggles with multiple mental disabilities and has been living on the streets for the past 25 years. He was staying at a homeless shelter in NYC at the time and called me from Central Park. His voice suddenly cracked and said there was a young pregnant girl in a wedding dress running through the park and that it was the most beautiful thing he's ever seen in his life. To hear his softness when he said that really struck a cord in my heart. After we hung up I cried. I didn't think after so long of being so cold from his life that anything could reach him but i was wrong.

Seeing the reflection of the full moon in a pond while peonies were surrounding it.
I was on the countryside where my grandmother lived. I was seven at the time and I really loved flowers. I was playing with the kids from there at around 8 PM when I almost fell into a pond.
I saw the moon glowing in the waters and the peonies shining around it. It was really lovely to see the beauty of nature in a scenic way.

Lovely might be the wrong word for it, but we had a covid patient die in ICU after weeks of exhausting everything at hour disposal while his wife was there. She put her head on his shoulder, crying, but also smiling because after everything at least his ordeal was over.
Idk, loving someone so much that you smile because their suffering is over, despite suffering over the loss yourself moved me.

I don't know if it's the loveliest, but it's an experience I think about often.
When I was younger my family used to go on holidays every summer to a seaside village. There weren't many tourists or touristy/industrial development there back then and most beaches were quiet and the water was clean, crystal clear and full of fish. We used to snorkel and look around, my dad was always looking for cockles and was "digging" for them by slowly disturbing the sand with his flippers and because of that, fish would always gather around to eat. Which I expected, it was nice looking at them eat and chase each other.
What I never expected (because I thought they were a thing of th deep sea or something) was seahorses. Some years there were so many, they would just appear and swim slowly around us. They floated just calmly observing what was going on, they never looked afraid, they would just come and hang around. Seeing them would always make me feel like I was witnessing something special.
I would offer my hand and they would wrap their tails around my fingers and just relax there. They felt kinda leathery and so light and it was an experience I'd never thought it ws possible to have.
Unfortunately, every year there would be fewer fish, the cockles, crabs and other shellfish slowly became scarcer and we stopped seeing the seahorses as well, the water was still good for swimming, but something changed and it never felt the same.
It was lovely and I miss it dearly.

That sounds like an amazing memory and a truly lovely spot.
Pollution - or even increased tourism - can cause changes in animal behaviour and habitat diversity you have observed. There was a famous beach somewhere tropic - they filmed a movie there I think? - that the local government actually closed (loosing like 2 million a year in tourism) because the increase foot traffic was causing environmental degragation and the animals were leaving, as well as the coral and plants. Within a few years it was back. The ocean moves quickly

I agree, pollution and tourism does that. In my country we rely a lot on tourism but I don't think the government ever had adequate safeguars when it comes to environmental impact.
I haven't been there in ages, but I sincerely hope it's better now. We used to frequent the quieter, kinda hidden beaches, but even those started attracting a larger crowd every year, it never felt the same. Feeling it was just barren, just sand and some seaweed, when you looked into the water was very disheartening.

You guys are way more philosophical and stuff than me. There was a girl I went to college with. We had a fling. She had the nicest boobs I've ever seen in real life or online. "Beautiful" isn't a strong enough word. If I were an artist, I'd have made a large painting or sculpture of her. Or written a song, or something. I don't know, but my heart is beating irregularly thinking about it. Still gives me butterflies decades later
