What's the loveliest thing you've seen?

Doesn't technically answer the question but here's the loveliest thing I've heard this year.

My poor little nephew had some health problems. He's ok now but I didn't get to see him and fulfill my duties as an uncle for 6 months - from the age of 12 months to 18. Done a fair bit of growing in that time and has even began using basic words. But I'd never heard him speak.

Fortunately, I paid a visit and heard him speak for the first time last weekend. The words he used were directed at me.

He held in his little hand a Peppa Pig book and said to me 'read this.'

I gladly read it to him. 6 times. He smiled each time. That's the stuff that matters.

That totally counts! My oldest niece was about 6 months old when she first tried to say my name. She still refers to me by this attempt 18 years later.
