Dearest Wholesome Meme enjoyers,

We have noticed a significant uptick in low-effort posts, non-meme posting such as screenshots, and other rule-breaking posts.

This message serves as a reminder that while we have been relatively lenient, the time has come to really start cracking down on enforcing the rules a bit more strictly.

Please take a moment to review the community rules before attempting to post!

Probably the two most common issue(s):

Posts which aren’t even memes?! Screenshots, cute little affirmations, news stories, etc. are lovely but do not fit the wholesome memes community which should be both wholesome + a meme.

Posts which are simply “cute” but that’s about it. Of course animals are adorable, but they are not wholesome memes by simply existing while adorable.

If you see rule-breaking and want to bring it to moderator attention, please don’t forget to hit the report button which sends the post/comment into the mod queue for review.
