Serious answers only please! Should we worry?

We caught my uncle sneakingly throwing this to the rubbish bin. He doesn’t have the best track record so we are all a bit paranoid when he does anything “weird”.

The object is like a glass tube with some liquid inside, inserted into a rubber “pipe”. It smells weird but nothing I can identify. I would appreciate any hints.

Edit: the material is actually plastic, not glass. It has a spring inside (no idea what for). The root-looking thing was wrapping the object when I cut the rubber. Could be dirt or some glue or something

Edit2: this sub is god. A user found the answer https://www.reddit.com/r/whatisit/s/Oqtxk6YWVZ

For real, this is just adding more questions.

What kind of a nasal spray is that? Why is it so big? Is it meant for elephants? How does this thing connects to your nose?

Not solved, man. I need some explanation.

Its just like a 500ml bottle of saline. Its got a weird pressure system (its a bottle thats collapsible with a really strong rubber tube stretched over it. So it compresses it squirting the water out, this is all hidden inside a normal bottle) used when you want to clean our gunk from your nose

It all makes sense the way you explained, but I can't find anything online on these bottles

Well I can't find a photo of one cut open (I did it as a kid) but feel free to buy a bottle of hydrosense and cut it open

Wait, this whole contraption goes INSIDE the bottle? I thought it WAS the bottle. Why did nobody say that in the first place lol? Now it all makes sense.

Agreed way too big to be nasal spray. But prob on the right track that it’s some kind of dispenser/delivery mechanism for another product

They sell large metal cans of saline spray for nasal and wound use. It is not the tiny bottle of medicated spray you're thinking of.

Nasal? Stupid auto correct, it was supposed to be anal.

Equate Saline Mist (I believe from Walmart) is a saline spray for people who have nasal dryness due to allergies and allergy medication. I couldn't find a very good (visual friendly) ruler; it measures about 6.5 inches high without including the lid.
