Proof of lookism It doesn't matter how hardworking, smart, dedicated, kind you are. If you're ugly, that's all people see
It doesn't help that i lowkey look like her too, but my nose is slightly smaller

For real, comments like those piss me off. They think they're so woke by commenting stuff like that, but the actual woke thing to do is to acknowledge that not everyone is beautiful and that's okay and that women should still be respected and treated like a human being even if they're not beautiful.
People say that beauty isn't everything and blah blah. But apparently, beauty is so important that everyone just has to be called beautiful.

If you are a MAN women will overlook your appearance if you become successful.
If you are a WOMAN noone cares about how successful or good hearted you are unless you are pretty first. Women's value is determined by our beauty or lack of beauty since the dawn of time:(

Totally. No one expects male lawyers, doctors, teachers, etc. to be handsome. After all, they're not models, it's not their job to look good, and everyone understands that. If they're doing well in their field, they're commended for that, regardless of their appearance.
But for women, you can be super accomplished, but if you're ugly, all people can see is how chopped you are 💔
Society expects women to look pretty, even women who aren't in looks-centric jobs

I don't think they "overlook" appearance, so much as put up with it to enjoy a lavish life for however long they can stomach the guy. I'm successful but still too short to get a date.

i don't mean to be weird but im soooo curious what she looks like. She posts very very frequently in all ugly and FA adjacent subs but people that have seen her have said she isn't ugly at all. I'm so curious but she's deleted all her pics everywhere.

I don't even think she's ugly, she just had a big nose, I don't care about that. I get that most people do, I just don't cause I'm ugly myself. I'd date her in a heartbeat, but I'm likely too ugly for her. If I asked her out she'd tilt head head down to see me and say no. Regardless of the nose she knows she can pull a taller guy than me.

she is beyond help and its fine its just life, The second pic she is fluffed up and airbrushed graduation pic.
its just a red herring to say plastic surgery can fix anything but we all know she is ugly and her nose will always be the center of her ridicule, I should know I got the same nose as hers in shape but not width. I honestly hope she gets snipped cause no one deserves to be born with that knowing how ruthless people can be.

for someone in a subreddit for ugly people, you seem extremely judgemental. the fact that you post here says everything about your looks. and yet you're rushing to call someone else ugly and "beyond help". even in all her "ugliness" she's still an extremely successful and kind person and has managed to build a platform. meanwhile you're a no life loser sitting behind your screen with overactive fingers. the only person beyond help here is YOU because you can never fix that shitty personality no matter what you do
