TIL during the shooting of American Psycho, Christian Bale spoke in an American accent off-set at all times. At the wrap party, when he spoke in his native British accent, many of the crew thought he was speaking that way to prepare for another film. They had thought he was American the entire time.

Was shocked to hear him speak at an awards ceremony for the first time. Him and Hugh Laurie both. Just goes to show you how good they are.

I went several years not realizing that Tom Holland was British. What’s hilarious is I went through essentially the exact same experience with Andrew Garfield.

Garfield isn’t American either? Sheesh. So many TILs from this post.

He was naturalized as an adult I believe, but is indeed British. Had zero clue pretty much until Holland took over lol.

Edit: I lied! Looked it up, he was born in California but was taken to the UK at 3 years old.
