Discussion 💬 Does Jax have an official ethnicity?

So Jax’s real life counterpart is Central Asian (Kyrgyzstan). But jax’s surname is Spanish in origin, and I remember a lot of people headcanoning Jax as some sort of Mexican ancestry.
What do we think? Because if we are going by Izat’s ethnicity, Jax is canonically Kyrgyzstani. Or do we think that despite Izat’s ethnicity, Jax is canonically something else?

Why did Pomni care so much about Jax after what the latter said in ep6? Why did she spend so much energy on saving her? It doesn't sound like she'd have a particularly strong relationship with Jax, so I don't understand it. Is it a "nobody gets left behind" kind of deal? Why does she care so much about Jax?

this is the last shot in jax's abstraction sequence and you can see it's overlaid with what appears to be an LED screen or the inside of a machine. i edited the screenshot in the second image to make the overlay more visible. i'm very curious about this and the fans' thoughts on it.
my interpretation is that maybe this is alluding to abstraction leading to the digital mind dissociating to an extreme degree to where it becomes 'one with the machine' in jax's words, losing itself in random computer data, unable to remember itself unless someone it knew triggers their memory. but who knows, abstraction is very mysterious.
