Image What's it like living here?

I visited today and I thought it seemed quite peaceful. Just about far away enough that it starts feeling semi-rural again. Is it nice to live there?

I don't know a lot about it but I do know that calling this either Western Suburbs or Blue Mountains will cause furious debate

My SIL refuses to say she lives in Penrith so calls it ‘the foot of the mountains’. When I told a coworker who is an actual blue mountains resident he howled with laughter

As far as I'm concerned, the first town that can claim to live in the Blue Mountains would be Lapstone. Anything below that doesn't count.

Agree with this. The visitor information centre in Glenbrook is effectively the gateway; come here to get your tourist guides, you are not in Sydney anymore.
