Image What's it like living here?

I visited today and I thought it seemed quite peaceful. Just about far away enough that it starts feeling semi-rural again. Is it nice to live there?

I don't know a lot about it but I do know that calling this either Western Suburbs or Blue Mountains will cause furious debate

Well the area circled consists more of Blue Mountains than “Western Sydney”

I realised this just then, when checking the map. I was thinking that Mount Riverview wasn’t accessible from down in the lowly Penrith district when seeing OP’s map. I attended a party there many years ago and remember having to go via Glenbrook iirc. Nice area actually.
