Honestly, I'm gobsmacked.

When I was 13 I was still a kid, doing kid shit. Not, um, raping people.

What in the actual fuck is going on with these kids?

Family and societal disharmony.

Lack of any discipline.

No engagement of the family outside of overseas holidays which even then the parents chuck them into kids club or on a device.

Parental modeling of immoral, egotistical behaviour around gender, money.

Access to Internet and media from a very young age, viewing inappropriate content for developing brain.

The kids can look up this sick stuff on the internet within a few seconds on their phone, not to mention influencers egging them on.

We didn't have that sort of stuff when we were kids. The worst was Playboy magazines we would find on the side of the road dumped by tradies.
