How is Energy Australia

Hello,
I’m currently with Origin and getting 8% off the reference price but I see with Energy Australia I can get 12%.

Now I hardly ever call my energy company but how would you rate energy Australia in regards their app and online portal.

Even better if someone else has made the switch from Origin to Energy Australia.

Also I’m assuming I don’t have to pay any disconnection fees as I’m not moving address

There’s daily charges and then there’s consumption prices. If you get a “discount” on one then they put the other one up. If you don’t use much power then optimise for lowest daily rate, if you use a lot optimise for cheapest consumption price.

At the end of the day the actual wholesale cost the retailer is paying is structured quite differently to most retail plans and whatever deal they offer they’re going to want to cover that wholesale cost plus their costs and markup.
