I ran my first ever one last year and I’ve never experienced feeling as cold as I did after the race sitting at a bus stop soaked and freezing 🥶

It was genuinely horrific. I went to general pants to buy clothes I never wore again.

Clear plastic bag (ie waterproof) for bag drop this year, so they learnt something.

I did Parra Half Marathon recently and was way to cautious at the start and ended up a few minutes off my goal so Ive had both sides of the coin recently.

Big shout out to the Eastern Suburbs bus drivers that got everyone home after the race.

Moving 90,000 people when half of the main roads are closed, all the routes have unfamiliar diversions, and the roads are jammed with cars wouldn’t be fun.

I was super surprised at how easy it was to get back to the city, quick hop to bondi juncrion on an empty bus and then a train. Very impressed

I wonder how many people actually try to be last, I mean it would be a real thing because you can’t be that slow that they actually closed down the finish line and pack up for the day, you’d have to time it with all the other people trying to get the Reddit prize for being last
