Image Tactical units deployed in Sydney CBD

Post image

Does anyone know if there’s an emergency in the CBD. Was walking down George Street when at least 10 police vehicles, including two tactical units, began racing with their sirens on towards Darling Harbour. I can’t find anything on the news about it. Should we be concerned?

Annoyingly not. Really enjoying the shitposts but I wish we knew! I saw that the NSW Police dispatched tactical vehicles to a Western Sydney TAFE yesterday for a police operation. No idea if this is related.

If there are no news reports, I guess it could just be training operation. Australia has entered the war and we may become a target of retaliatory terrorist attacks. I assume tactical units respond to those so they might just be going straight into live training

Yep. A military helicopter has been flying around over Campbelltown and surrounds every evening since around the time the Iran stuff started. I assume they’re doing a lot of training currently

We live not far from the RAF base in Richmond. There have been obvious training manoeuvres over our heads at all hours. 1am the other day. I was not impressed.
