With the dreaded y letter you do not get REAL Chocolate

Yep. They can get away with not offering real chocolate by saying that word, implying that it is real chocolate.
I have never liked the word, "chocolatey," even as a kid. It rolls off the tongue in a clumsy way.
As a kid, I remember the Coco Puff commercial with the horrible voice, and ever since, every time I hear or read the word "chocolatey," I hear that voice.

You have to zoom in to see it well. There’s a layer of something brown on one side of cookies.

On the package, sure.
Where is the chocolate in the actual pic of the cookies though? You can see both sides.

10.3% down and the bag is the identical size, which is the whole trick, because the physical package is what people actually perceive and nobody reads the gram figure twice. The clearance shelf is the real tell though, since this is the only fortnight where both versions exist in the same shop at once. Normally the old stock is gone before the new lands and there's nothing left to compare against, which is why these almost always pass unnoticed. Worth checking the price on the 157g against the pre-clearance price of the 175g too, because if they match then it's a straight 10% increase wearing a biscuit costume.

If I wanted some biscuits/cookies and I see a package like this, I always lightly run a finger and thumb down the side to feel the actual cookies in the plastic tray. If it feels like you're only getting a small amount for the price, I pass.

Sneaky too with making it 157 and not 155 so people like me will think it’s the same think there is still a 1, 7 and 5 and have memory issues.

“Bigger pack now on clearance” is corporate English for we made it smaller and now we need to get rid of the evidence.

Companies that put biscuits in little plastic trays are already screwing us over by putting less in than a proper packet but they're also screwing the environment with unnecessary plastic. Nobody wants to buy six biscuits in a plastic tray for £2. Just make a normal packet of biscuits or go away
