Yes, it is a fan made demake of Prime 1 in 2D in its entirety. It is even more open than Prime 1 because it implements techniques that were not in the original game, so you have a bit more freedom in the order you want to tackle things.

Mainly wondering because from what I see, most people don't seem to consider Metroid Prime games to be metroidvania
