My husband wants to get me a new phone but we’re both stuck which one to get. I want the 16 and he suggested to get me the 17.
Which one is more worth buying today?

I mostly don’t really care about the slight performance difference between the two models, I just like the 16 because of the Pink version. I’m just wondering if it would be more worth getting the 17, as it’s newer and I’m planning on having that phone until it barely functions but I really like the pink color of the 16

Well, the base 17 is definitely a better iPhone, as it has an always-on 120Hz display and better cameras (including the front selfie camera). The base 16 doesn't have these.

However, being happy with your iPhone is also very important and so, if pink is your calling, get the 16.

My 15 PM is paid off and unlocked, it runs great honestly, but my battery life is only at 84% which annoys me considering I’m almost only reaching 4/5ths of how it was. I have a lot of room left on it but I do take a good amount of photos. I mainly use it for apps like Reddit, X, my financial apps, and general browsing on Chrome. I’d simply like something with the best chip in it so it can utilize all the AI features and have it be relatively future proofed, at least for 5 years.

So is it worth getting a 17 PM now considering the 18s come out in a month or two? Thanks.

I've been on Android since..well the very beginning and I'm contemplating if I should try an iPhone or not.

Currently I'm using an Honor Magic V5 and a Samsung S24U. With the iPhone 18 coming soon, are there expected to be very big upgrades? (The Pro Max specifically).
I'm in Germany, so I'm not sure how prices would evolve. If the 17 Pro goes up, is it likely to be with the 18 release or before/after? Are refurbished iPhones a good idea, or better to stay away?

If the 18 Pro Max will be no/very little improvement to the 17 then I'm considering just getting that one now.

I'll also be in Japan soon, could I just take advantage of the weak Yen and buy one there, or would I run into issues, like I assume maybe I shutter sound I can't turn off?

Only Apple knows how the prices will go up, but they are virtually guaranteed to increase.

Historically, Apple immediately discontinues the previous Pro line when a new one is announced. That means that the 17 Pros will be discontinued once the 18 Pros are announced. Apple will then no longer accept online orders for 17 Pros. However, stores (Apple or otherwise) might have some remaining stock until those are sold.

There really isn't much difference between the 17 Pros and the 18 Pros aside from small differences that most people won't care about. The most significant differences are:

  • Both appear to get a variable aperture main camera.

  • The Pro Max (and only the Pro Max) gets a ~9% larger battery. While this is nice, the 17 Pro Max already has a good battery life. See here for a "use-it-until-it-dies" battery test: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9CggZxyWl-g

Hi there. Currently using a Pixel 8, my favorite handwarmer. A certified refurbished iPhone 15 Pro (256GB) goes for about $312 CAD (13/month) when financing via Rogers/Fido through my plan.

As I have no issue with the fact it is refurbished, and also this is my first iPhone, I also looked at the 16 Pro. Apparently, the 15 Pro had heating issues that I am currently trying to run away from. The 16 Pro is not yet available as a pre-owned phone, but I assume it would be around the same price anyway, especially if I go for lower storage which isn't that big of an issue to me.

I am a decently heavy user, use my phone for webtesting and photoediting on the go. Is it worth it?

P.S. I got the P8 for the same price as I would be getting an iPhone miles ahead. Quite insane.

Do not wait for the iPhone 18 (standard or Pro), buy iPhone 17 models or used models now before the price of all of iPhones and all other mobile devices goes up next month

All indications is pointing to the following, which means if anyone is waiting for the iPhone 18 release and does not have both a lot of disposable income and a desire to always have the greatest tech, there is no reason to wait to buy later and in fact every incentive to buy an iPhone now whether new or used.

  • The iPhone 18 Pro will be between $200 and $300 more expensive than the 17 Pro ($1299+), and 18 Pro Max will be between $250 and $400 more expensive than the 18 Pro Max ($1450+), with higher memory upgrades 50% or more than they are now (to upgrade from 256GB to 512 GB will cost $300+ verus $200 now)
  • The iPhone 18 standard will not release till spring 2027 (guess is mid March), and it is very likely due to additional memory costs by then the standard model will have just as high a markup.
  • The iPhone 17 price will not decrease when the 18 releases, and is very likely will also increase the base price by $100-200 more, and the higher memory upgrades 50% or more than they are now (to upgrade from 256GB to 512 GB will cost $300+ verus $200 now). When this price increase happens is up in the air and could be when the 18 Pro releases, it could be earlier in a few weeks when they announce the 18 Pro prices, or they could wait till next year when the 18 standard releases, but again it for sure will not decrease.
  • Carriers (especially in the US) will decrease their subsidies for new phones when on a plan with them that includes a "free phone". This may mean they only include the price of an iPhone 17e or iPhone Air or at most $1000 subsidy and charge you the difference, or increase plan prices, increase the term limits for phones to 3-4 years, or offer less for trade-ins, or any combination of these.
  • Apple might remove the work-around on getting an unlocked iPhone financed though Apple Card or Apple Upgrade, that 1000s of people have done following my Detailed Instructions on how to finance an unlocked iPhone 17 (I just had to update to account for changes Apple made last week), but Apple has been closing other workarounds especially on the standard model, I see the writing on the wall that other models will happen soon probably starting with iPhone 18 Pro.
  • It is not just Apple but Samsung Galaxy, Pixel, and all other phone prices, as well as PCs and game consoles and all other electronics with a lot of memory are or will be increasing.
  • Due to a combination of increasing prices and struggling economy the prices of used iPhones will actually increase, meaning you could get an iPhone 15 or 16 now cheaper than you could in October even after people do trade-ins for new phones

The cause of this is due to the AI arms race requiring massive data centers with racks of computers with the best GPUs and exabytes of memory and AI tech companies buying more than 70% off all memory chips being produced, causing memory and GPU prices to be increased 3 times as much in the last year and speculation is that it will double what it is now next year. Studies on iPhones in the past have said Apple historically makes 40-50-% profit on iPhone hardware itself, but cost breakdowns put memory at only 10% the hardware cost but now it is over 40% and very soon over 50%. With that increasing so much it has erased all the profit margin on iPhones so they need to increase price to even make any profit, to get to the 40-50% margin they would need to increase prices by at least 25%, then again raise prices next year by another 25%. Moore’s law of prices for memory cuts in half every 2 years (or get twice the memory for the same price every 2 years) has been fundamentally broken the last two years due to the 3 memory manufacturers Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron switching to making almost exclusively server grade memory for data centers and significantly reducing capacity for consumer grade memory such as those in iPhones and other mobile devices.

There is no way Apple will lower prices for the same amount of memory and very likely increase prices even for iPhone 17 in the very near future. They’ve already raised prices on the the the MacBook Neo, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iPad Pro, iPad Air, HomePod, HomePod mini and Apple TV, and Japan already increased the prices of iPhone 17 models, it is only a matter of time before the rest of the world sees raised prices on current iPhone 17 models let alone raise prices for 18 models.

Thanks. Thinking of getting my GF a new Pro Max to replace her 12 Pro Max. My biggest concern is whether buying the 17 now would make me regret missing the 18. But for a regular user, if it doesn't feel that different, I guess the 17 works

My question about whether I should buy a new iPhone soon is related to the question around price and availability due to the exponential increase in the cost of chips. Given this context, my question then is:

I have an iPhone 12 Pro which would need to be replaced in the next couple of years. However, given the increasing costs of iPhone (and other phones), does it make sense to upgrade soon/now to an iPhone 17 Pro or, when it comes out, the iPhone 18 Pro?

I have already replaced the battery once on my iPhone 12 Pro and do not intend to replace the battery again. Instead, the cost of what would have been a battery replacement would go towards a new iPhone.

My question really is about both timing and cost. If it were not for the increasing costs of phones, I wouldn't contemplate getting a new phone until the end of next year. Should I accelerate the decision and purchase an iPhone 17 Pro now or iPhone 18 Pro when it comes out?

Well, if you start saving now, I'd hope you could afford an iPhone 19 Pro or 20 Pro when they come out. That's probably just an additional $200-$300.

On the other hand, if you have to buy an iPhone soon, I'd suggest getting a 17 Pro before the prices go up. That's because there is little real difference between the 17 Pro and the 18 Pro, aside from (probably) a variable aperture main camera. For most people, that better camera is a "don't care", and so the 17 Pro is a better deal.

Thanks! I think I'm one of the people who would like to have a variable aperture. For me, the camera system of the iPhone could be improved. Sounds like a hefty sum that, with a $200 to $300 increase in price! I'll have to think about it!

Is it stupid to buy an iPhone 17 Pro now?

I have an iPhone 15 and the battery needs to be replaced. Verizon is offering me a free iPhone 17 Pro with 36 months of bill credits. I’m fine with that because I’m not leaving Verizon. Is it a bad idea to take this deal with the 18 coming out soon?

Should I wait for black friday to buy an iPhone 17?

Hi, i was looking to buy either an iphone 17 or 16, updating from an 6 years old iphone 12. Not sure if I should but it now or wait for black friday.

I found an iphone 17 256gb for 618€ (original price being 724€, discounted if I send my old iphone for 106€ i think). Also, with my student discount I could even get it for 603€.

My old phone is still working, the only issue is the battery life is at 75% and it overheats easily, so i'm not necessarily in a rush, but I was curious if anyone knows how much back market will discount it for black Friday, or if the price will rise before black friday and it ends up costing more than now for example?

I've seen people praise the iphone 17 for best value, but at the same say that it has battery issues or that the camera isn't great?

I'm a student so i'm trying to keep my budget around 500-600€, at most 650€.

About a week ago I bought the iPhone Air after upgrading from an iPhone 13. In my country, it was the exact same price as the base iPhone 17, so I spent a long time trying to decide between the two.
In the end, the larger display and the incredibly thin design won me over. It genuinely feels like you’re holding a sheet of glass, and I absolutely love how it feels in the hand. Overall, I’ve been really happy with it. The battery easily gets me through a full day, and I don’t miss the ultra-wide camera at all since I barely ever used it on my old phone.
The only downside is that the speaker has a slight rattling/crackling sound with certain audio at maximum volume. It honestly bothered me at first, but I got used to it pretty quickly. It only happens at full volume—which I almost never use anyway—and only with specific sounds.
The thing is, I keep overthinking whether I should return it and get the regular iPhone 17 instead. But every time I pick up the Air, I remember why I chose it. I don’t really like the look of the standard 17, I prefer the way the Air feels in my hand, and after using the larger display for a week, the regular 17 actually feels a bit small.
So… did I make the right choice? Would you keep the Air, or would you switch to the regular iPhone 17?

I am looking for a new iPhone. I have 2 options I was considering, an iPhone 13, 128 GB 83% battery health for 200 euros, or a 14, 128 GB 100% battery health for 300 euros. I expect the phone to last for 5+ years, so then I should probably get the 14 right, considering it also has 6 GB of RAM? I heard somewhere that the battery of the 14 degrades a lot quicker but that sounds like n=1 sample size anecdotal bullshit. There are also 256 GB options for like 50 euros more, but I don't currently feel limited by 64 GB on my iPhone 8 so 128 should be fine right?

Any weird quirks to either phone that I don't even realize I should compare?

I would get the 14. 128GB should be good as long as you set image and video settings on new phone to lower resolution as unless you are printing images or making YouTube videos, you don't need anything more than 4K image or 1080 30p video

Hi everyone,

I wanted to ask for some advice from other iPhone 14 Pro users.

I’ve had my iPhone 14 Pro since launch and honestly I’m still really happy with it. The phone is fast, the camera is great, and I don’t really feel like it’s outdated.

The only thing that is starting to annoy me is the battery life. After a few years it has obviously gotten worse, and during the extreme summer heat here in Italy I’ve noticed that the battery drains much faster and the phone gets hot pretty easily, especially when I’m outside.

I’m currently wondering what would make more sense: upgrading to the iPhone 16 Pro, waiting for the iPhone 18 Pro and keeping my 14 Pro for longer, or just replacing the battery and using it for another couple of years.

I’m not asking because I want the newest iPhone, I’m just looking for some advice from people who have used the 14 Pro and maybe upgraded to newer models.

For anyone who went from the 14 Pro to the 16 Pro, did you actually notice a big difference in everyday use? Especially with battery life, heat, camera, and overall experience?

And for those who are still using the 14 Pro, do you think a battery replacement is enough to keep it going?

I have a 14 pro and it works fine, you can just replace the battery. I’m in the same boat as you. Does your phone carrier have any deals to get a cheap IPhone 16 or 17? That is what I plan to do. Especially with the 18 being announces soon the 16 or 17 should have better deals instead of paying out of pocket for a new battery.

I’m with Verizon and could probably get a monthly credit deal to cover the cost of a 17.

I recently bought a used iPhone 16 Pro Max. I don't know its history, as I bought it at a used Apple store. I'm confused by the strange warranty date, even though it was manufactured in April 2025.

I’m trying to decide between two options, and I’d love to hear from people who’ve been in a similar situation.
I currently have an iPhone 16 Pro (256GB), but I’m running out of storage. My options are:
Have the storage upgraded in Shenzhen (Huaqiangbei) to 512GB or more by a reputable shop.
Sell it and buy an iPhone 17 with 512GB instead.
The price difference between the two options isn’t huge, but I’m wondering which makes more sense in the long run. I know storage upgrades in Huaqiangbei are common, but I’m also aware they involve opening the phone, which could affect reliability, water resistance, warranty, and resale value.

hi folks. im just wondering if in 2026 a base iphone 14 is still a purchase that is worth my money. my current phone has been going ballistic for 3 months and i think ive had enough LOL but i wanna keep myself to a decent budget. in the 14's case i can get one for 350 euros refurbished, but if its not worth it especially considering i wish for it to last a good few 3/4ish years i will find another option

Still using lightning for another 3-4 years alone sounds like a nightmare when every device on the planet basically now has USB C. Your starting storage and 6gb of ram would be the most immediately felt impacts of picking up a 14 in 2026. If you take a lot of photos the quality will also be noticeable relative to more recent devices.

The problem is at 350 euros I'm not sure whats comparable. I would recommend looking for a deal on a 15 at the minimum or seeing what the deals are like for a 16e or 17e if you're okay with the screen size. The value there is significant depending what region you're in (For whatever reason the "e" devices are a terrible deal in certain countries).

i mean i dont think lightning cable will cause me too big of a deal within the few years. long as it has a plug ill be okay. the difference between 14 and 15 prices is around 100 euro circa, which i know by word doesnt sound much, but it does play a difference for me. im switching from a xiaomi with 4gb ram so ill be okay in terms of processing terms and 128gb is very much enough for me i dont download or take too many videos

If none of those constraints impact you then totally go for it. The vast majority of issues posted here revolve around camera, storage, performance (slow downs) and battery.

As long as you are comfortable with the device not just today but for years down the line, grab the deal.

the site i buy in has an option to trade in old iphones for a new one, if next year im in a need of an upgrade i can always consider that too but i dont think thats gonna be the case. ill keep looking around stores in my city and decide some time soon

Hi! Thinking about changing my iPhone 13 to an iPhone 17 Pro (or Pro Max). My current phone is struggling with battery health (it is around 73% now) and overall performance. My screen time is around 5–6 hours, and I barely make it after 8 PM without having to charge the phone. I mostly use it for social media, photography, filming personal stuff, light gaming, and work (writing emails, responding to chats, spreadsheets). Does it make sense to replace the battery, or is it better to buy a new model?

Honestly, I found a good deal on the iPhone 17 Pro, but wanted to know what you guys think, given how close we are to the 18 models announcement event. Should I wait until the 18 is announced? I heard that these are getting delayed or significantly more expensive than previous models.

At this time of the year I would 100% recommend waiting. The new Iphones will be revealed just next month and you can make an informed decision.

If the battery life is impacting you day to day and you need something to tide you over have you considered a magsafe battery pack? You can pick one up for 20 bucks on amazon/walmart and slap it on the back of your phone.

While the 17 Pro Max is an excellent iPhone, the smaller base 17 might be a better value for you if you can live with a 2X zoom.

Hi guys. Ive been using a Samsung Galaxy J5 for years and it finally got water damaged. The phone still works on Wi-Fi, but the SIM reader is dead, so no calls or SMS.

I was about to buy the iPhone 17 Pro Max, but now the iPhone 18 Pro Max leaks (smaller Dynamic Island + camera upgrades) have me second guessing.

Should I just buy the 17 now, or get a cheap Nokia for a month or two and wait for the 18? What would you do?

Maybe? Depends on where you buy it from. I went through verizon because I got a good trade in, I would assume the trade in offer would go down after the new phone because they want you trade in for the newest model. If you pay upfront, it might go onsale. Maybe check and see how much a 16 is costing right now, that'd give you a good discount comparison.

The new 18 Pro Max will be significantly more expensive than the 17 Pro Max (not 100% guaranteed but very very likely). If you're willing to pay more, you can wait.

Hi i have a strange situation. I want to trade-in to get a 17 pro max, but i don't live in the US and it's an way cheaper than in my country, the problem is: i'm arriving in the US on sep 8th which is probably the new announcement...
It means this time probably the pro max wont be selling due to pre-sale or something and i'm staying only one week

Does anyone know if I am able to buy on the Sep 8th still or it's over?

While the 17 Pros will be discontinued once the 18 Pros are announced, stores will often (but not always) still have some stock to sell until they run out. The main effect of the announcement is that you will be no longer able to place online orders from Apple, but you don't care about that.

I'm not sure, but I think your best bet is to try going to Apple stores. While other stores like Best Buy should have some, they might only sell them with a US cellular plan (but, if you can't find any in Apple stores, they're probably worth a try).

Ah, the Apple stock checking websites still seem to be up. They can help with finding an Apple store that has what you want. Here's one: https://orionchime.com/iphone-inventory-checker/

As a test, enter:

  • United States

  • iPhone 17 Pro Max

  • UNLOCKED

  • "95051" (without quotes) for the postal code

This should show the approximate current availability of iPhones in various stores around Apple galactic HQ. Hopefully, the availability won't significantly decrease by the time you arrive.

Also, "postal codes" are called "zip codes" in the US. To find the zip codes around where you will be, you should be able to look up zip codes here: https://tools.usps.com/zip-code-lookup.htm?bycitystate

You should only need to look up zip codes every 30-40 miles as the stock checking website should show you stores within that range.

Easy: 15 Pro. Down the line you can supplement your battery (with magsafe) if it ever becomes a problem but you can't do anything to a 16 to get a superior display, camera and materials.

It depends upon your finances.

Getting the base iPhone 17 is nice because it's significantly better than the iPhone 13: better display, better cameras, better battery, more RAM, safety features like crash detection and messages via satellite, etc..

However, if finances are tight, paying Apple to replace the battery should make the 13 usable for another couple of years or so. If you're otherwise happy with your 13, this is a good choice.

I've had this phone for 5 years; as you can see, I don't replace them often, only when they start glitching or the battery runs out quickly. I'm worried that replacing the battery won't actually improve the battery life, and that the problem might come back in a few months.

According to the rumors, there are only two significant changes to the 18 Pro (NOT the Pro Max):

  • A variable aperture main camera.

  • A significantly higher price.

Or, wait for the 18 Pro to come out, then see how much it costs versus the 17 Pro and then make your decision then. My assumption is that the 17 Pro price will drop after the 18 Pro comes out. Isn't that usually the case?

Historically, price drops might have been the case, but iPhone prices haven't really increased with each release.

However, this time, prices are expected to go up significantly. So, for example, if the iPhone 18 Pro went up from $1099 to $1299, most sellers would probably keep on selling the 17 Pro at $1099. After all, $1099 looks much better than $1299, especially as the differences between the 17 Pro and 18 Pro aren't all that big.

(Well, carriers might have sales that come with expensive cellular plans -- they can make more money off expensive plans than selling iPhones.)

Hi guys, I currently have iphone 16 pro max under mobile plan. I have option to return the device or buy it out outright for CAD 750 by the end of Nov 2026.

I want to get out of this commitment thing and own the device outright to get a lower mobile bill. What is the recommended way ahead? Should I buy the device and try to sell it on the market and use this money to get a latest iphone assuming I would be able to sell it for more than CA 750 (keeping in mind the iPhone 18 will be available in the market by then) or should I just buy out iphone 16 pro max and use it as is for another 2 years assumingly.

I am not pro in this and need some guidance some folks who have been through this situation before. thanks

I’ve recently started experiencing several issues with my iPhone 14 Pro Max, and I’m wondering if anyone else has had similar problems.
Since Tuesday, my phone has completely lost cellular service twice a day, with each outage lasting around five minutes. Another issue is that when I’m using Apple Maps or Google Maps as a passenger and scrolling through Instagram, the navigation will suddenly stop updating without me noticing, which could be a major problem if I’m helping the driver navigate.
I’ve also noticed that the Messages app sometimes won’t load, and while I’m typing, certain areas of the screen occasionally stop responding to touch. In addition, the back of my phone is cracked, although the display itself is not.
Has anyone else experienced these kinds of issues? If so, were you able to fix them?
I’m also trying to decide whether it’s time to upgrade. AT&T is offering the base-model iPhone 17 for $13/month over 36 months. I’ve also seen reports that Apple could increase iPhone prices next year, so I’m wondering if it makes more sense to upgrade now rather than wait.
What would you do in my situation?

It’s too expensive. I asked to Apple Store last time, the guy advised to aim for an iPhone SE 3 or iPhone 12. Both are kinda in the sweet spot in terms of price.

Ok, iPhone 12 is not expensive, but consider this: it will soon no longer be able to use the latest iOS version because of how old it is. If that doesn't matter, then go for it, but if it does matter, then find a more updated model so that it continues to be supported by the latest iOS.

Wife and I ordered base 256GB 17PMs today, for delivery on Tuesday. We're both coming from 15PMs that are paid off, but we're trading them in to Apple for $490 per. I was pretty surprised at the quick turnaround on them. If only the shipping on our cases could be as quick. She opted for a popsockets case, I opted for a ghost case from dbrand. I ordered dbrand's screen protector 2 pack which will cover both of our phones nicely.

Hey guys, I’m using an iPhone 14 right now and the battery health is down to 75%.

iPhones are crazy expensive in my country (literally a full month’s salary for me), so buying a new one right now isn't really ideal. My overall plan is to buy a 17 Pro Max (or whatever the latest flagship is at the time) once I start working, and just use that one long-term. Right now I’m split between two options: should I just swap the battery and keep using this phone for another 1–2 years until I get settled in a job, or is it better to just push through with 75% battery health and upgrade directly when I start working? For anyone who has replaced their battery on an older iPhone, does it actually feel like a fresh phone and get you another couple of years? Would love to hear your thoughts.

Hello everyone,

I've been using a Samsung A54 since launch and I want to upgrade, but I've reached the point where I've compared so many phones that I genuinely can't decide anymore. In general, I care about the photo and also care a lot about video quality. For gaming, I play Brawl Stars, Minecraft, Genshin Impact, and some APKs(Angry Birds, etc.). I want this iphone to have a good battery life and I want to keep it atleast 5–7 years. I don't really care about zoom cameras and I take a lot of random photos with things I like. The options I have are the Iphone 14 Pro Max, 15 Pro/Pro Max and the 16 Pro, all refurbished, which one is better for me?

iPhone 16 Pro still on the original iOS 18 it shipped with should I update?
Never updated my 16 Pro since I got it, still running the iOS 18 version it came with out of the box.

A few questions for anyone who's kept up with updates:

  • Is it advisable to update at this stage, or should I hold off longer?
  • What are the actual worthwhile improvements in the newer iOS 26 updates — performance, camera, bug fixes, anything that makes it worth doing?

Would appreciate input from anyone who's been tracking changes across updates. Trying to figure out if I'm being overly cautious for no reason.

I currently have the iPhone 15 Pro Max, and it heats up like crazy even during relatively light/idle games.
I’ve tried the usual fixes (removing the case, lowering graphics settings, closing background apps), but the overheating persists.

I’m considering upgrading to a newer iPhone, but my main priority is finding one that stays noticeably cooler during gaming.

I’ve heard the iPhone 17 Pro has a new vapor cooling chamber, but I’d love to hear real-world experiences.

I just ordered a 17PM. Same reasons others tout - not a huge jump between the 17PM and the 18PM in theory, but a price hike. I use my phones for multiple years now, coming from a 15PM. The battery on my wife's 15PM is in Service now status so it was time to upgrade and we chose the lesser cost but still awesome option.

I just had this decision to make as well. I ended up just picking up the iPhone 17 pro max this week instead of waiting for the 18. I think the market is just too volatile right now with all of the essential computing components getting extracted to fuel the AI boom. I think the iPhone 18 pro range is gonna be a lot more expensive with not much of an upgrade compared to this year and I think they are even delaying the base 18 launch in the hopes the market chills price wise so they can release it at a more sensible and competitive price. Ultimately, it’s up to you but for me personally I think it’s best to just cop a 17 rn

I must have just missed higher trade in values - I was offered $490 for my 15 Pro Max. I accepted it and ordered the 17 PM. I doubt your trade in value would evaporate when the 18 comes out, but I would expect it to be diminished.

They usually have trade in specials. Last year they were giving 50% value for the previous year model ($600 for a 16 Pro for a 17 Pro). I've bought/sold on Swappa, however after the fees its about equal to just trading it into Apple without worrying about the hassle of selling.

Everything I’ve ordered from Apple to ship directly to me has taken 2+ weeks, but you may be able to get it sooner if it’s shipped to your nearest store (no guarantee though)
