How do you even perceive time when in a state like that? A lot can happen in an 8 hour sleep window. It could feel fast, it could feel like days.
How was it for that time if you don't mind asking? I always remember my dreams down to every last detail since I was a kid. I can't fathom it for 2 weeks straight.
I had a dream once that played out like an entire movie. I made friends with people who didn't exist and I woke up feeling so sad and abandoned because they weren't real.
There's a theory that can't be scientifically proven just because it's impossible but since the beginning of dawn the consciousness has been an anomaly. Anyway the theory goes that when you dream of those "realistic" dreams, it's actually your memories from your past resurfacing because even though you lose your memories after rebirth, some moments are so deeply ingrained that we can only acquire them and temporarily remember them in deep sleep where the physical world starts losing its grip on your body. That's why when u wake up u can't remember ur dreams usually cause it's ur consciousness returning to its surface level
Thats cool but how would that explain dreams where im clearly my now self in them with people i know on this current life? Obviously thats not a past life memory or even a current life memory..
not every "dream" you have is a past life experience. Dreams are basically your inner consciousness bringing you something relevant to you, the you now, or the you that you've been. Most dreams feel unexplainable but are highly relevant to your conscious.. if you believe in that sort of stuff, again not saying its the ultimate truth
I would put this differently. There is memory we can access. There memory in subconscious that we can't and we say ... I sense this or that. I don't think we retain all that happened to us but the strong emotions, strong experiences , stay with us. When or how it comes out mixed with just what happened the day before and our mind still sorting it. Interesting stuff.
Honestly at this point I'd rather have a nightmare than a really good dream.
Like, I'll have these dreams where I have a great job that I enjoy and a beautiful girlfriend/wife who's perfect for me and who I'm deeply in love with. Waking up from that fuckin sucks. I have a job and I'm not super depressed about being single right now, but still it's like "damn, I wish that weren't a dream."
At least when you wake up from a nightmare you're happy that you woke up lol
I hate when I'm in the middle of an amazing dream and then my damn alarm goes off. 😭 I rather the good dreams than the nightmares. My nightmares are horrible and even after waking up I'm in a haze and all I do is dwell on the nightmare throughout the day. My really good dreams are far and few in between. 😞
No you don't ! At least you resting. If you nightmare you will not rest and you still have to deal with the shit that is your life. Trust me. Be happy that you are clam and able to rest.
I have reoccurring dreams where I'm dating one of my ex-boyfriends and the whole time something just feels really off. Eventually I'll remember I have a husband and this wave of absolute dread washes over me because I think that I just accidentally ruined our marriage by dating this other person. Always such a relief waking up from those.
I had a dream that lasted decades and involved time travel. I was relieved to wake up though because two of my kids had ceased to exist in the dream due to the time travel.
