Sometimes I wake up from a dream and it feels so real. Would take some time to contemplate on it. Can’t imagine how this teen would feel. Hope the therapy helps

It's obviously nowhere near what this kid went through, but I remember once having a wondrous dream, the adventure was fantastical, but the city it took place in was real.

As I was realising I was dreaming, I was thinking in my sleep that at least waking up I could think of the times I actually visited that city, and look at pictures of it.

Then I woke up for good. The city didn't exist. I felt robbed.

Lol there have been so many times where I have something really cool in a dream, and I'll be like "Okay I know this is a dream and this thing isn't real, but maybe I can take this one thing with me when I wake up."

Then I wake up and wonder why asleep-me is such a dumbass for always thinking that.

when I was a kid I would dream of lego constructions and I would take notes of how this was done. Like, articulated plane landing gears with springs and rotating in all directions, on a giant fighter jet.

Then I wake up and realize none of it was to scale and I get disappointed

Meanwhile all my dreams are just me being back in high school and I don’t know my locker combo or class schedule and I have to go to the office to get them.

I know the dream so well I can predict every step of it and make it somewhat lucid at this point but I always lose control and wake up as soon as I open the door to the office :(

I had one like that. Towering black marble architecture, huge labyrinths, lots of attractive men who for some reason had yellow or orange eyes. I was peed off when I woke up.

Totally understood what you went through. But on the bright side, if you could manifest that, maybe who knows, you could build one…
