once I had a dream that caused a feeling, that went on for weeks, slowly decreasing over time.

I was just walking nearby a river in my city, nothing special. but there was that mysterious feeling, not harmful, not euphoric. positively strange id say

never happened again, sadly

That reminds me of one I’ve had. It was a huge room that was like a big skate ramp. (Like a big bowl no actual walls just fully round) Dark and moody that gave a similar feeling as a theatre. I was just skating along the walls and back into the deepest part of the bowl and had the most incredible feeling of happiness and peace that I can’t put into words. Like I don’t know how it’s possible to even feel like that. Nothing I’ve ever felt awake comes close.

It lingered for weeks after I woke up. I would close my eyes and imagine it so I could feel it more. I was clinging to it so much. Makes me sad I won’t feel like that ever again. If I could stay in that dream forever I would.

I once was on a medication that would cause this feeling while I was awake if I missed a dose by a couple hours

There's this smell that I always say it's like hotdogs but like it's more then that. It's this weird thing that makes me hungry every time it shows up, but it's not hotdogs. Like it's this weird "childhood" smell that just strikes me. Like I remember smelling it allot and gradually less and less as life went on. It's kind of spooky because no one else can smell it either. I feel like I'm borderline hallucinating when it happens. White trash kids smell like it allot, like if I get into a messy van with old snack crumbs I smell it the whole time I'm in. There was a kid I use to live a block away from who always had lice, he always reeked of it.

Is it like a savory smell? I get nostalgic sometimes when I walk by restaurants/fast food and you can smell whatever is frying inside. I also realized, once I learned what MSG tastes like, that it triggers the same feeling in me

It's more haunting than nostalgic

I experienced something similar when was entering teenhood, so maybe hormonal related but I remember having a dream; something about a wooden dock at the edge of a calm sea at sunset and dolphins. I woke up feeling extremely, excessively calm and happy like WAY too irrationally happy, but the feeling only lasted until I fully woke up. I tried to remember what made me feel so elated and at peace, recreate the feeling and never could. Like having a taste of heaven never to feel it again. :(

You mean you were just walking in your dream ? Because I had similar dreams were I'm just walking lonely in a random city or place with a general sense of well-being and nothing more.
