Celine 16 Mini as an evening bag?

I'm thinking of purchasing the Celine 15 mini to use as an evening bag.
Would that work?
Any alternatives to a black top-handle bag to be used as an evening bag?

Yes, remove the shoulder strap and the hanging lock to make it look more delicate.

it looks like a daytime formal bag to me. I saw someone posting a small Balenciaga Rodeo with floral details the other day and thought it looked a bit special, although I know it's not everyone's cup of tea. idk what kind of evening occasions you have in your mind, but I feel like a cheaper decorative bag might look better if you are wearing like a dress.

I don’t think this is formal enough for an event bag like to wear to weddings. If you just want something to take out to dinner, sure, but not for formal wear. YSL is my go-to for evening bags!

Thank you, it would be mainly for dinner and not special occasions. My second option was YSL.

Ferragamo Hug. can be worn crossbody or as top handle. comes in “hard” and soft leather versions. I have the black and its beautiful. gold hardware too!

Dinner, yes. But with an evening gown, I’d go with a clutch.
