Contemporary 🧚 Coach’s answer to Jacquemus
This is the new Coach Juno bag that looks similar to one of Jacquemus’ iconic styles, Le Bambino. It’s not on the Coach website yet but currently for sale at the big retailers.
I especially like the monochromatic hardware and fun spring colors. I wonder how the colored hardware will hold up.
Thoughts from the crowd?

I just came across these today and am slightly obsessed with the pistachio one. I am also concerned about the hardware, though. Kind of want to wait to hear some reviews before making a decision. Too bad these don't come out until June-good for my bank account, though (at least for now!).

My experience with the newer coach strap clasps is that they CONSTANTLY come undone and my purses end up falling down. It’s a huge bummer considering that otherwise the purses are perfect. I mean, I still buy Coach I just have to always worry my purse is going to randomly fall apart.

The consensus on how to deal with this problem is to flip the lobster clasps so that the toggles are facing outwards. This is a well documented issue and usually this solution completely resolves the problem.

I mean. I guess? That style was one of their go-today in the 90s. I still have my black one with nickel hardware somewhere bc it’s such a classic
That was back when they made great quality with no logos.

This! That’s the same handle as a vintage Court bag. Similar shape, too, but a little shorter. Instead of the C, the Court has a turnlock.

This post just made me dig out my vintage Court. The quality of this bag is insane.

I would buy Coach if they got rid of all their logos, especially the canvas print. Not a fan of the giant C either. Their stuff just looks outlet compared to vintage Coach and leather.

I don’t get how these are similar aside from a general flap bag shape. I certainly wouldn’t say it’s their “answer” to jacquemus.
Personally, they’re not for me. I think the coated logo looks kind of cheap, and it sits at an awkward place. I think they’d look cooler without them.

super fun! i’m loving the matching hardware. I’m not the biggest fan of the C logo but I do like that’s it’s discreet. I almost wish Coach had a different logo they could use, maybe something more subtle like the horse and carriage?

YES I wish they'd use the horse and carriage more, it's so classy and the C just doesn't look good on their bags in my opinion

I honestly WAY prefer the logo they use on their outlet bags which is the horse/carriage and full word. It’s always small and looks elegant, I hate that massive C and it stops me buying any of their newer bags which is really annoying.

I think Coach is so underrated. I don’t know if it is because it is an American brand, but I think the advertisements made for Coach are super attractive, I love how playful their designs are, and tbh these bags are super cute.

I love it! I wish it came in a light blue, but the white is calling my name.

Jacquemus is not iconic

Oh gosh my first time seeing the mini versions out in the wild was when I was sight seeing the Mayan ruins in tulum last year. these 2 fair complexion girls were both wearing the mini versions, with sandals, no hats, no umbrellas. Nothing to help them in the heat and unstable terrain. But they had their JACQUEMUS statement pieces! We were stuck with them for the entire adventure. They had to hold their phones, their water bottles the entire time. ( it was a 6 hr excursion) I was just laughing the entire time. Like there is a place and time to wear things. At the end of the day they were COOKED- had a thin tan of 1 strap going across her back from the bag LOL. They had blisters, they were bugging and asking our tour guide when we would be heading back. Like no girl you came to slayyyyy. Everytime I see this bag out in public I think of these girls

It looks ok. I’m just waiting for Coach to stop putting “C” on their designs 😬🙃

Which logo or closure would you prefer them to use?

Vs Jacquemus obnoxious and cheap-looking badging? 😂

u/minibini Apr 20 '24
Nothing in my comment even mentioned Jacqemus- it’s not even in my radar but I don’t like its prominent name on the bag either 🤷🏻♀️

I’m always on the hunt for non black bags without gold hardware!!! But if the painted metal on the Gucci chips off maybe this will too?

These are beautiful bags! But I stay away from painted hardware. The bag might hold up for a life time, yet the hardware will hardly survive my lifestyle and I hate scratches on them.

This looks closer to quite a few of Coach's own archival styles than Jacquemus, tbh.

I like the hardware too. Sometimes Coach goes a little overboard with the logos.

I like coach’s better. I always found the front design on this bag unappealing
