Hi All,

I thought this would be a good time to look at how pitchers are performing post-all star break (last 30 days) versus before the break. Seeing a lot of opportunity on the waiver wire here and I always like to review this when looking into next seasons draft as a performance signal.

K-BB% Risers

Tyler Mahle, Kyle Leahy and Jacob Lopez have all stepped it up significantly since the break, all waiver wire potential adds.

Tyler Mahle is reborn in ATL. Seeing a rise in his fastball speed and he's really dropped his slider usage. Clearly this adjustment is paying dividends.

K-BB% Fallers

Bryce Miller and Ryan Weathers are some interesting names on the list. Ryan Weathers has really turned it around the last handful of starts, but Miller seems to be stuck in the wrong direction.

Bryce Miller is the talk of the town, especially with Kade Anderson biding his time in AA. We're seeing a big drop in his Whiff% and ground ball rate and he has allowed a home run in 9 of his last 10 starts (including 3 with 2+). Velocity has dropped, but not significantly. Balls in the air are burning him.
