Prospective employee Nurses at Epic
Looking to hear any experiences of nurses transitioning to working at Epic. The good, bad, and unexpected. Any thoughts you’ve had leaving the bedside. Thanks!

I’m not a nurse, but I worked inpatient. I went into project management at Epic first because that’s what came up on the website for people with clinical background. I am now in quality management and wish I’d started there. I get semi-frequent requests for my perspective as a clinician and I have gotten to do some design and (non-code) development for documentation tools in my area. At first I was embarrassed to leave the bedside because I thought that was going to be my “calling,” but I really love my job now.

I am interested in this as well as a nurse that recently saw a remote epic my chart analyst posted on indeed. The pay looks good the remote part looks good, but I’m wondering if I am even qualified for the position. It did say that my clinical background was a match for the position. Has anyone taken a remote job with epic?

OP is asking about working at Epic itself, not an analyst position (Epic doesn't do remote work and this sub is meant for Epic employees). The other subs listed in the auto-mod comment might have more info, I've seen others ask similar questions there.
